Challenge to Damocles: ...

rana is our token liberal :) she's very blue.

Grind: "rana is our token liberal she's very blue."
Jack: 'Rana' believes people shouldn't have sex until they are 25, states that their 'minds aren't fully developed' until then. Also 'Rana' believes Muslim children should be able to bring their Prayer Rugs to school, claims it's in the Constitution.

That doesn't sound like Member of Blue Team, no offense, but that sounds more like Member of Space Cadets that you found at a Christian Rehab Center.

I was trying to put forth a 'proposal for consideration'. You have 2 years before this tsunami of Blue Team types flood JPP with their ideas, opinions, and thoughts. I was just trying to think in advance that having an actual Blue Team member as part of the Moderation Staff might be a Good Idea. Having the 'appearance' or 'illusion' of being 'Fair & Balanced' would prevent people of accusing JPP of being biased, something I've noticed others allude to.

Why pick USF, another Right-Wing Nut Job, when you could pick a moderate Blue Team member? Or, maybe pick USF and a Blue Team member as 'temporary Interns with limited capacity' and see how that works out? (just tossing out some ideas here)

There's a 32nd. degree in the Masonic Lodge, he'd never reach that milestone.

Yeah, I've heard the Masons have some incredibly high milestones out there. The Knights initially were established with three degrees in 1882, but, then added the fourth degree about 18 years later, as a result of Catholics being accused of lacking patiotism (the fourth degree is patriotism).

So ... which is higher:
1. God's Law.
2. US Constitution.

we aren't picking any new mods, it's not something we've actively thought about for even years. There isn't even a lot to do on here. I probably do like 2-3 mod related things a day, max.

You should have stopped at "trying"; because you normally don't do very well, after the attempt.

Out of curiosity, how is Rana incorrect about the constitutional protections afforded to Muslim prayer rugs in public schools? Or the science behind human brain development (sure, leftists prefer to just "believe" in whatever popular science comes along, but...).

Oh.
My mistake.
I had the impression this was quite a task and was becoming 'overwhelming'.

This Reply of yours makes my question obsolete. Thanks for clearing that up.

it's not overwhelming. We pride ourselves on having as few rules as possible. I don't even like having rule 12b. It's not like I am personally offended over many 12b infractions, the reason we are strict on that is because we want to prevent it from getting even worse or going to a bad bad place. Beyond that or personal information we basically let people say whatever they want here. The best a JPP mod can be is by doing as little as possible.

"The concept of prayer in public schools remains controversial more than 50 years after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against school-led or school-sponsored prayer. In fact, many critics of the 1962 ruling (Engel v. Vitale ) claim that the absence of prayer in public schools is to blame for drug use, violence, and societal decay in general. However, schools may not prohibit students from praying voluntarily as long as it is done silently; does not disrupt others; and does not subject other students to peer pressure. The case for reintroducing school-sponsored prayer has only weakened as the nation continues to become more diverse in general."

How do you think that? It's not biblical in reflection, outside of a few possible things. The constitution is actually anti-Gods law, because of what's in it. The constitution is secular law.

It embodies truth and natural law. The sort of rational concepts that Christ spoke of in the Gospel.

I appreciate the embrace of 'Freedom of Expression' here, a real breath of fresh air. I have ZERO criticism of that. For some reason I had the impression that 'moderating' the Site was becoming quite a Task. And, in my view, that the soon to be 'New Folk' that would arrive around the 2020 Elections would bring things to a breaking point, hence the need to beef up the number of Moderators.

Jack: Praise Jesus!
