Church explodes in NYC...

The killers of Benghazi still roam free; the videographer may still be in jail for all we know. But who cares right? It was only four lives. And who cares about an American videographer practicing free speech right; let him rot in jail for all we care?

I weep for this once great nation and where it is headed with leftist dunces running the show.

13DIFFERENT BENGHAZI styled attacks during GWB's presidency and not a peep from partisan Righties over the DOZENS OF DEATHS.

Let's be clear...it's only when they can score cheap political points off of death do they make a fuss.

1) It is hardly false outrage... but good of you to show your true colors. If a Dem is in charge, not a big deal when Americans die needlessly.

2) It had little to do with Clinton... who was running for re-election at the time Garud? That is, in my opinion, why the Obama admin continued to try and distort the events.

How many died needlessly when Dubbya was in charge ya fucking hypocrite? Who gives a fuck about four CIA operatives who knew what could happen when they signed up for Foreign service? What about the 3000 plus on 9-11, or the million plus since in the two wars he started? rat

Outrage is your word. You want to exaggerate my position.

1) Yes, it was an error in judgement that should not have occurred. It was a poor decision on security. Whomever made that call to not beef up security when it was requested in a known hot spot should have been held accountable.

2) What happened after was indeed another example of poor leadership. It happened right before the election and the Obama admin desperately tried to play it off as a spontaneous event. Which was a complete fabrication. That too should have seen heads roll.
Bullshit! It was your red congress that denied requests for increased security at embassies. You can blame Boner, Ryan, Cantor, and the rest of the red traitors.

You are so clearly a paid poster.

lmfao... easy on the faux outrage Dune.

1) Glad to see your true colors. You don't care about those that died. I suppose you also don't care about the soldiers who have died? Because they too knew what could happen if they signed up for the military. Right Dune? You don't care about them either?

2) What on earth makes you think that I don't care about those that died on 9/11? I do.

3) The difference between 9/11 and Benghazi is that we had never been attacked in the continental US before. We weren't expecting it. Benghazi was a US compound in a country that just had its leadership overthrown (in which we played a role). It was a hotspot... they requested extra security. They did not get it. That was poor judgement.

No, It was your cheap ass red congress that denied the funding you fucking liar.

My red congress?

LMAO... no Dune, it was not. Funds for overall security are doled out by Congress. How the funds are spent and the decision for each embassy/US compound is done by the State Department. Pretending they couldn't fund the hotspots is the height of dishonesty.

God Damn, dipshit we were attacked by the same fuckers at the same fucking building! Why can you never tell the truth?

Of course I care about the soldiers, who do you think I am talking about? They are just boys, sold to fight fat old rich white men's wars. The CIA, the Dept. of State, ex Navy Seals (duh, think they might be spooks?) I could give a fuck about.

I know everyone already knows that in 2009, Darrell Issa, Jason Chaffetz, Paul Ryan and the other House Republicans voted to cut funding for Embassy Security from President Obama's Embassy Security Request ... ya know ... because the House GOP are against everything President Obama says or does because ... ??? who the hell knows why - they're haters?
Anyway, since Darrell Issa is doing his hearings on Benghazi today, I thought I'd post this Diary as a reminder that, due to the GOP Cuts in Embassy Funding, I conclude that theHouse GOP let Benghazi happen by cutting the Administration's request for additional funding on Embassy Security.
In October 2012, Dana Milbank wrote:
House Republicans cut the Administration’s request for Embassy Security funding by $128 million in fiscal 2011 and an additional cut of $331 million in fiscal 2012.... Last year, [2009] Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that Republicans’ proposed cuts to her department would be “detrimental to America’s national security” — a charge Republicans rejected.
Ryan, Issa and other House Republicans voted for an amendment in 2009 to cut $1.2 billion from State operations, including funds for 300 more diplomatic Security positions. Under Ryan’s budget, non-defense discretionary spending, which includes State Department funding, would be slashed nearly 20 percent in 2014, which would translate to more than $400 million in additional cuts to Embassy Security.
Dana Milbank warns that in light of Benghazi, House GOP continue to cut funding for Embassy Security:
For fiscal 2013, the GOP-controlled House proposed spending $1.934 billion for the State Department’s Worldwide Security Protection program — well below the $2.15 billion requested by the Obama administration.
And Ambassador Steven's family and families of the other victims of the Benghazi attack can thank Rep. Paul Ryan (R) for those cuts to Embassy Security. Scott Lally wrote:
Those cuts are largely the result of the draconian and unrealistically low budget caps placed by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) on all discretionary spending, falling particularly hard on the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee with responsibility for Embassy Security.
So, my big question:
When will the House GOP hold hearings demanding the House GOP members explain why they voted to cut Embassy Security Funding that President Obama requested?

??? You need to calm yourself... what building are you referring to?

I am sure they don't give a fuck about you either. But the soldiers, like the CIA, know there is a potential to go in harms way. So your comments indicated you didn't care about those that knew ahead of time what might happen. Glad you clarified to stated that the only ones you hate are those that are slightly older.

Cuts in spending already passed by Congress

Using the second justification -- comparing Obama’s request to what the GOP-controlled House voted to spend for fiscal year 2012 -- has the advantage of not being speculative. Here’s the amount passed by the House for fiscal 2012 (figures also rounded):

Worldwide Security Protection (ongoing operations): $1.31 billion
Worldwide Security Protection (overseas contigency operations): $247 million
Embassy Security, Construction, and Maintenance -- Worldwide Security Upgrades: $755 million

Total: $2.31 billion

The difference between these two amounts is nearly $327 million -- a bit above the $300 million Biden cited.

Again... show us the actual spending by year by the state department. Again... show us where Congress dictated WHERE State spent the money. Did we have security people at our European embassies? did they properly allocate resources Dune?

[h=2]Funding issues[/h]
Following the attack on the U.S. Special Mission in Benghazi, the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs held hearings to determine how and why the tragedy occurred.
While documenting security failures in Benghazi, the committee in a Dec. 30, 2012, report also noted congressional budget cuts to diplomatic security. At a time of fiscal conservatism, the committee said, diplomatic security has been substantially underfunded.
Diplomatic security has not been fully funded since the 2010 budget year. In 2012, for example, Congress appropriated $275 million less than the Obama administration requested for diplomatic security.
Supplemental appropriations bills made up little of the difference, since nearly all of the additional money went to security upgrades for diplomatic facilities in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
“Neither the Department of State nor Congress made a point of providing additional funds in a supplemental request for Libya, or more specifically, Benghazi,” the committee, which was chaired by former Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut, wrote in its report.

Did Ryan's austerity budget cut 327 million from embassy security? Yes. End of blathering. You can go home now.
