And what exactly does Sandy have to do with increased Hurricane intensity due to climate change?
You should feel fortunate that some bodily functions (like breathing) are involuntary, Anchovies.
Poor Anchovies.
And what exactly does Sandy have to do with increased Hurricane intensity due to climate change?
So again, what the hell does any of that have to do with the thread on the increased intensity of hurricanes due to climate changeThis you, Anchovies?
Are you telling me you didn't know that you "got hurricanes in NYC", Anchovies?
Which is why it's important to trust experts like NASA and other reputable science sources. I already posted to you in this:I readily admit that when getting into the weeds on climate issues I'm out of my element. But I will say one of the books I really enjoyed was by Steven Koonin called Unsettled?. He was in the Obama Administration and he's not a denier that man plays a role in climate change but it was eye opening in him showing how the media manipulates the headlines and data that gets reported.
I read the reviews of the book because I wanted to see what those disagreeing said and it has the usual complaints. But his viewpoint was the emergency that justifies basically any money spent on climate change is worth it is not necessarily the case.
Sorry, Wacko, but I believe the good folks at NASA over politicians.

Evidence - NASA Science
Earth's climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 800,000 years, there have been eight cycles of ice ages and warmer periods, with the end ofscience.nasa.gov
So again, what the hell does any of that have to do with the thread on the increased intensity of hurricanes due to climate change
No it hasn’t“Climate change has amplified the strength of Atlantic hurricanes by an average of 18 miles per hour in the last six years”
“Warmer waters are fueling more storms with vastly increased wind speeds. Between 2019 and 2023, 40 hurricanes saw wind increases sufficient to elevate them by at least one category on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane intensity scale, according to the study published in the journal Environmental Research: Climate.”
“Three hurricanes, including this month's Rafael, experienced a substantial speed boost caused by climate change, which moved them up two categories.”

I was cynically responding to your red hat club comrade whose offering was inane and irrelevant to the thread as your own. And by the way, in 250 years, NYC has seen a hurricane thirteen times, never a class 5, which has become more frequent in warm water StatesYou asked if you "got hurricanes in NYC", Anchovies.
You do.
How come you didn't know that, if you live there, Anchovies?
Answer the question, Anchovies.
I wouldn't have believed that your credibility could sink any lower, Anchovies, but you're certainly on your way.
Which has zero to do with the warmer water feeding the intensity of hurricanesThere is compelling evidence that there is a lot--far--more urbanization and people living in areas hit by hurricanes today than say 50 years ago...

Thanks, now back to your radio, one of your pimps might be offering something as irrelevant that you might missNo it hasn’t
Got any math or are you just another parrot in the line?“Climate change has amplified the strength of Atlantic hurricanes by an average of 18 miles per hour in the last six years”

Pascals wager fallacy. So, to reverse the argument, what is the opportunity cost of not addressing climate change?
But it has everything to do with the amount of damage and costs associated with hurricanes that hit the region...Which has zero to do with the warmer water feeding the intensity of hurricanes
Category 5 hurricanes do damage regardless of what they hit, and increased urbanization has nothing to do with hurricanes increased intensity due to climate changeBut it has everything to do with the amount of damage and costs associated with hurricanes that hit the region...
Except there's a pretty good argument that hurricanes haven't increased in number or intensity.Category 5 hurricanes do damage regardless of what they hit, and increased urbanization has nothing to do with hurricanes increased intensity due to climate change
Link to something other than Fox News or Epoch Times? Something scientifically reputable would be nice for a change, Terry.Except there's a pretty good argument that hurricanes haven't increased in number or intensity.

Fourth time we’ve seen the same nowhereville “proof” regurgitatedSince Katrina, hurricanes have been the poster child for climate change.
But, several lines of empirical data cast doubt on claims that climate change is causing a measurable increase in global hurricane activity. Read more here:

You sure you're reading comprehension is alright? I asked a question. Actually I asked for any kind of rational support for your OP assertion that is subject to analysis.Fourth time we’ve seen the same nowhereville “proof” regurgitated
Nope. You are simply making a Pascal's Wager fallacy. There is no such thing as "Climate Change" outside your WACKY religion so there is no reason to somehow believe it just because you are claiming extremely grave nonexistent consequences for your nonexistent physics violations. Why I refer to it as opportunity costs, they are too high for future generations to risk it
Learn economics. That's not what "opportunity cost" is.And not to sound repetitive, but the opportunities cost is too high
