CNN poll: Biden leads Trump in national head-to-head matchup

Disagreed.
Meh, most polling like that is rather meaningless.

Do you really think Trump's campaign team doesn't use polls?
They largely use internal polling.

True about Hillary. Here's the problem with polling: It's one thing to give an opinion on the street, but it's another thing to show up on Election Day.
Correct. That's one of many problems with it.

Young people tend to lean Left, but they are also flaky and tend to not follow through on what they claim they'll do.
In my experiences, a lot of young people are indeed like that, but plenty aren't, though.

Older people tend to be conservative and vote in larger percentages than younger generations. Those percentages (called demographics) care predictable to an extent, but can change depending upon external factors.
In my experiences, a lot of older people are indeed like that, but plenty aren't, though.

FWIW, I doubt Biden is inspirational enough to motivate sufficient numbers of Millennials and Gen Xers to defeat Trump in November. I could be wrong.
I agree. I doubt that Biden will be able to generate the necessary enthusiasm levels to beat Trump in November.

I can't speak for other States, but here in my State of Wisconsin, I can already see this playing out. In Dane County, I see Bernie signs everywhere. Dane County LOVES Bernie and they would turn out for him in high numbers. There is nowhere near that same level of enthusiasm for Biden. I expect turnout in Dane and Milwaukee Counties for him to be similar to the low turnout that Hillary saw in 2016.

Trump, in 2016, had similar issues to Hillary with regard to turnout. Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington Counties (the "Milwaukee suburbs") all had rather low turnout for Trump. See, the densely populated areas of Wisconsin wanted NEITHER candidate in 2016 (They wanted Bernie and Ted instead). However, what worked out in Trump's favor in WI in 2016 was his very strong rural support from many of the lowly populated counties up north. Their support was enough to push him over the top.

Fast forward to 2020. There is still the same low enthusiasm for an "establishment Democrat" such as Biden, but the Milwaukee suburbs have warmed up to Trump since 2016. They've seen what Trump has done and they are largely pleased with it. And in lesser populated areas, Trump support is as strong as it's ever been, maybe even stronger. People put the effort into carving a large "Trump 2020" text into the ice on Lake Winnebago a few months ago. Some people have also put the effort into mowing large "Trump 2020" text into their fields. In Wisconsin, enthusiasm for Trump is very high right now. I don't see that same level of enthusiasm for Biden in Dane and Milwaukee Counties. I'd actually be surprised if Trump DIDN'T win Wisconsin in November...

EDIT: Even looking at myself in 2016, I was rather luke-warm towards Trump. I preferred Ted, as I thought Ted to be the more "conservative" candidate. In the primary, I knew Ted was going to win, so I voted for Trump in the primary just for the hell of it. In November 2016, I liked Trump's very direct style of debating (ie, he didn't just let Hillary walk all over him) and I liked the fact that FINALLY someone was directly standing up to the media's bullshit. I was still luke-warm about what his policies might be like, and was still a luke-warm supporter (I voted for him solely as a vote AGAINST Democrat Marxism). However, now that 2020 has rolled around and I've "seen Trump in action", I largely like what I have seen. He's been more conservative in his policies than I thought he'd be (he's made some bonehead policy decisions against conservatism, but for the most part he's done quite well). This time around, I am quite enthused about him and am actively supporting him rather than simply voting against Democrat Marxism. I'm sure that I'm not the only one.

Here's a poll I think has strong validity - A poll where people put their money where their mouth is. This poll still has Trump winning by a narrow margin: https://www.predictit.org/markets/detail/3698/Who-will-win-the-2020-US-presidential-election
Well, there ya go! :)

No, 538 people did.

It is both the popular vote and the electoral count. The electoral college is who does the voting, dumbass.
You do not have a grasp of how the system work, please edu

No there isn't. The electoral college is who does the voting.

However, the popular vote is not used to determine who is elected as the nation's president or vice president. ... This is because presidential elections are indirect elections; the votes cast on Election Day are not cast directly for a candidate, but for members of the Electoral College.

Hello and welcome Survivorman,

Please observe my PIP. I wrote it, I enforce it, and I honor it. I will give you all the respect in the world if you respect me.

Biden is a senile old man. I'm not surprised that he's the best the Democrat party has to offer.

Would be nice if we had FDR about now.

No, you need a copy of the US Constitution. You very clearly do not understand how our election system works...

Me calling Biden a senile old man is no disrespect to you unless you are he.

Biden has no mental problems. Trump is a marvel of immaturity and ignorance. He has the maturity of a teenager and embarrasses the country every time he opens his food hole. Biden has done lots of news shows that last few weeks showing he is articulate and knows his business. Trump leaves thinking people in shock with his daily health rallies forcing the rightwing into prevent defense. They have to explain away his lies and misstatements every day. It does not seem to bother them at all.
When Joe jumped in his tendency for gaffes bothered me. But I saw that running against Trump negated that problem. He is the opponent that removes that problem due to his endless misstatements and lies.

CNN)Former Vice President Joe Biden holds a wide lead over President Donald Trump in the national race for the White House, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

Biden leads Trump 53% to 42% among registered voters, roughly steady from CNN's poll in early March. The nationwide picture shows Biden starts with an edge among voters generally

The coronavirus pandemic has drastically altered presidential campaigning. Biden and Trump have paused in-person campaign events, and states have pushed back primary elections until the summer months.

Biden holds an edge over Trump as more trusted to handle several key issues, including the response to the coronavirus outbreak (52% to 43%), health care (57% to 39%) and helping the middle class (57% to 38%).
