CNN YOUTUBE REPUBLICAN DEBATE

Frankly, why would anyone expect black people to be at a republican debate, convention, gathering, or barbeque?

Republicans don't care about the black vote. Is this supposed to be a secret? Am I missing something?

In fact, they don't care about the hispanic vote either. They think getting rid of 'em is their path to the White House and their supporters agree.

In truth, they don't really care about women either. They think women's choices have to be made for them. They just kinda' tolerate women .. as long as they keep their place.

That is one huge ass portion of the population republicans think they don't really need.

Good luck with that bullshit, but they need to get out more and they'd discover that America is getting browner and women are not trained puppies.

At this rate, they'll soon be the Whigs.

All the inflamatory accusations and group labeling aside, I think they're already the whigs. They have no prayer for the White House.

This is due in my opinion, to misrepresentation with regard to foreign policy, fiscal policy, and hypocrisy moreso that from institutional sexism or racism.

They're losing their base because they're politically inexpedient, fiscally retarded imperialists.

I think this is true. They're pretty much intent on becoming the party of southern white men.

Troll the message boards. Virtually every GOP post about muslims, blacks, hispanics is less than positive. In fact, its commonly inflammatory at worst, and less than flattering at best.

Criminalizing abortion? Please. Can you have less respect for the independence and judgment of women?

In all honesty I was working from my computer and listening to the debate. When something was said that sounded interesting I'd get up and take a look for a moment. Fortunately they all sounded like Bush, except for Paul, so there wasn't much need for me to take a look.

If there were 3 blacks in the front row, we'd call them the "spooks who sat by the door", a satrical play on a book by Sam Greenlee. Sit a few blacks by the door and when people look in they can say, wow .. they have lots of black people.

Reminds me of the Republican National Convention a few years back when the camera stayed on the 16 black people at the convention. I called it the Soul Train Republican Convention.

Fortunately, the republicans here are reasonably sane, but that could be because they're overwhelmed and surrounded by humans.

If republicans are comfortable with hitching their star to white men only I'm cool with that. I don't spend a lot of time talking about republicans because they're sliting their own throats. Too dumb to recognize the value of multi-culturalism in a changing world.

The problem for you and I is what party do we support? .. Democrats?

That ain't working and it will never work as long as we're stuck in this trap and without serious representation.

Republicans are idiots, but we've got our own problems.

I agree with some of what you say, but that's what happens when they block out any perspective they didn't think of themselves.

There is hardly any question that racism and sexism are resident and prominent in the Republican Party, thus they not only block out perspective, they block out voters.

That was a nice show at the debate when they were asked about the confederate flag and a demonstration that even republicans recognize the reality of its divisive nature. Romney distanced himself the most when he called it "that flag." That was a good thing to see, but actions speak louder than words.

My point is that they've been a politically inept pile of shit for a long time. Their demise comes from this stupid jackass in the White House now, and the herd of sheep following him around bleating his talking points for the last 7 years.

Realistically speaking, they never had the minority vote, so not having it now is not what's shut them down. What shut them down is the imperialism and the spending.

Frankly, Republicans couldn't care less about minorities, but that's not what killed them.
