Communists March Through Philadelphia

I've never been a member of any Communist organization,
but I don't have a problem with Communists.
Communists haven't fucked anything up in this country.
As an added BONUS they also end up being executed for treason like Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were. They were made good by electrocution at Sing sing I believe......More to come ;)

Look at Charlottsville. The first night the radical Right had their march. No violence.
You misremember. They paraded in with their tiki torches, and started attacking graduate students. It was extremely violent.

Or we could look at the yearly right wing Forth of July "counter protests" at Gettysburg. Antifa has never shown up. There are no Confederate graves for Antifa to desecrate. The whole thing is just a stupid rumor, and yet the far right is able to injure themselves and others every year.

The issue is that the right wing will always see someone they hate. There will be an interracial couple, or someone they assume must be gay. And they will attack.

There was a huge march through Philadelphia today. Shows you where the nation is headed, and it is straight to Hell in a handbasket...

These are people calling for violent revolution, not just "change." Bet they won't be arrested for advocating the overthrow of the government...
And their cell phones won't be tracked and the buses that bused them there and who paid for it won't either.

It is you that misremembers.

The first night of that... whatever it was... about 100 - 200 neo-Nazis marched with tiki torches. Nothing happened other than their march. The next night, the Left started showing up in a counter protest and that's when the first fights and scuffles started. The Left's opposition protest grew in size to over 1000 and the violence grew with that.

Sure, I agree, the radical Right has a lot of hate going on, so does the radical Left. The only real difference is WHO they hate. But at Chancellorsville, as with virtually everywhere else, the Left is primarily responsible for violence at riots. The radical Right simply doesn't have the numbers. Usually, they show up in the dozens. I'm impressed that they could get 100 to 200 of their whack-a-doodles together to do something.

The radical Left has little trouble mustering up hundreds to thousands of violent rioters.

Nothing happened other than their march.
They attacked graduate students that had the misfortune of being on the campus that night. It is worth remembering that there are people who work and live on that campus, and having a bunch of Neo-Nazis march through attacking those that they do not like is difficult.

The attack happened without a permit. The police could never have given a permit to that, because it was on private property, and would be impossible to remove the graduate students to keep everyone safe.

Other way around. The students went to where the neo-Nazis were. Had there been no counterprotest (illegal since they didn't have a permit), there would have been no issue. The radical Righties would have done their meaningless bullshit and then left in a day or so.

The Left started the violence because they deliberately went to where the Righties were and started shit with them. Sometimes it's just better to ignore some insignificant assholes than try and prove you're bigger assholes than they are.

Choose your battles wisely. Advice the Left can't seem to grasp.

The students went to where the neo-Nazis were.
The students were on their own campus. They did not move. Most had no idea the Neo-Nazis were there. They just walked out of work, and got attacked.

You go onto a college campus, and you will find graduate students doing their work, and living their lives.

They went to the neo-Nazi rally. The students and Leftists do the same across the US when some Right-wing group or speaker shows up on campus. It's just how the Left is. They go, they start shit with those they oppose, and that's how it is.

You just don't want to accept that the radical Left is violent, in-your-face, and willing to start violence at the drop of a hat. It's not that the radical Right isn't violent, but violence there is generally limited to individual nutters who do it with far more violence but in limited area. That is, the radical Left burns down a city center and injures hundreds. The radical Right has one crazy shoot 20 people and kill them.

They went to the neo-Nazi rally.
A Neo-Nazi rally went to them. There was no permit, so they had no warning their workplace/home was going to be turned into a Neo-Nazi rally.

And that was the point about all the graduate students attacked, they all were supposed to be there. Not one of the Neo-Nazis were supposed to be there.

And no permit would have been issued for such a thing. You cannot shutdown people's workplaces and homes for a Neo-Nazi rally. They would have been forced to have their rally elsewhere.

Now you're just trying to justify the Left's violence.

All I'm hearing from you is...

They had no right to be there...

Next time I suppose you'll say that when people show up to support Israel, Christians show up to hold a rally for Christ, or maybe some people opposed to abortion.

Really doesn't matter what the cause is, if the Left is opposed to it, there'll be war, and the Left will start it.

I am justifying graduate students walking between their work and home. You are the one trying to justify Neo-Nazis attacking them while they tried to walk home.

Graduate students have the reason and the right to be on the campus. Neo-Nazis not so much.

And picking a fight on the way there...

The gradual students don't own that campus. They aren't "employees" either. They are students and for all intents, guests too. The campus is open meaning the public has access to a public university.

So, you are just doubling down on,

The neo-Nazis had no right to be there...

Most of the graduate students who would be on campus on an early August evening would be employees. Many, if not most, of the employees at a university are graduate students.

The management of the university hired the graduate students, and gave them a place to live, because they wanted the graduate students there. They did not want the Neo-Nazis there.

The campus is open meaning the public has access to a public university.
University of Virginia is not an open university, and that is not what an open university means.

There is an assumption that the public can enter university property, until they are trespassed off. Once they are told they are not permitted to enter, they are banned from entering.

The exception to that would be students, employees, or residents. That requires more of a process to ban them from the campus.
