Conservatives ban guns at CPAC; impose gun-free "safe space"

Wayne LaPierre was also among the speakers. He raged against gun free zones, in a gun free zone.

Again, I can't find any reference to a requirement to ban guns when a protectee is present. You keep ignoring that fact.

As far as I know, the SS is not required to ban guns by the Code. They are authorized to do so, but I don't see a requirement. Do you?

If cons really believed that open carry makes the world safer, why wouldn't they ask the SS not to ban guns when they speak? :dunno:

But LaPierre isn't a candidate.....Sen. Ted Cruz Carly Fiorina Donald Trump were....are you that stupid ?

Required or not....the SS did mandate it....

How do you know they didn't ask the SS not to enforce a ban....?....

You're starting to bore me.

So when LaPierre spoke against gun free zones, there was no reason for a gun free zone?

If you can produce some evidence that the cons asked the SS to allow guns, produce it.

I'll understand if you can't.

I didn't make the claim they did....but if you can't show some evidence that they didn't, I'll understand....

If you've got nothing new.....fuck off and have a nice evening.

It is interesting. But CPAC was held at a Marriott property. Marriott has a policy against guns. I know Legion Fag and Zappasfag think they are being cute but their indignation is as usual misplaced.

In Maryland, adults may openly carry long guns in public without a permit. However, you must obtain a permit to carry a handgun (openly or concealed) on or near your body, or on property you own or lease. (Md. Ann. Code § 5-303.)

So you support Marriott's gun policy?

Gun rights advocates have called for boycotts against businesses that don't allow firearms in the past.

Gun rights advocates have agitated for using "gun-friendly" venues in the past.

Instead, people arriving at the Gaylord to hear Wayne LaPierre say that "The simple truth is that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun" and call gun-free zones "the worst and most dangerous of all lies" saw this:

The irony is exquisite!

If gun free zones don't work and just attract shooters who know the occupants are defenseless, aren't cons risking lives by allowing these types of things?

I don't agree with it, but as a private entity, I agree with their right to have that policy. You see, I believe that a private entity should have the right to freely associate or not associate with anyone they choose.

You see sugar tits, unlike you I am a rational thinker. I know you and the other anti gun nuts think you have scored some political gold here but you are merely highlighting your ignorance.

I guess these are issues too difficult for you and Lefty Legion Troll to grasp

Should Marriott rescind that policy based on its clientele's 2nd amendment rights?

No. Marriott's gun policy is no moe an infringement on gun rights than Damo banning someone from his forum is a violation of someone's first amendment rights.

Despite others interpretation it is my belief that the US Constitution was solely meant to apply to the federal government and not individual states or private individuals. Other's obviously take another position. And that is ok

That covers the CPAC conference?

The Code doesn't ban guns, Blabo. It give the SS the authority to do so. How come you're not blubbering about government overreach trampling the Second Amendment?

And just because the SS has the authority to preclude firearms, they don't have to exercise it.

Maybe Trump - the strong leader who says gun-free zones are "bait" - should stand up for the gun rights of his supporters and ask them to allow them to open carry.

If the arena won't allow it (and since when has a con pretended that a gun-free policy is a deterrent) Trump should demand that it be rescinded or move the convention to a Trump-owned facility.

Isn't that what a strong leader would do, Blabo?

GOP hypocrisy is astounding.

I obey the law whether I support it or not.....

If anyone gets shot you can hold the 'cons' responsible
even if they have no control over the mandates of the SS or the Marriot......
....sue 'em.....and good luck with that....
