Agreed. It's just that it seems that Ukraine's once again attacking the Donbass Republics after all their promises of honoring the Minsk agreements was the last straw for Russia. More then anything else, the timing suggests this, with Russia's military operation starting literally days after Ukraine's military attack of the Donbass Republics began.

I don't know about that one- I imagine Putin was thinking of the political headaches involved and I think it definitely looks good that he waited until Ukraine had decided to act militarily first in Ukraine, as it made it quite obvious that Ukraine itself was the one who truly broke the Minsk accords.
