It is based on traits like glib and superficial charm, grandiosity, need for stimulation, pathological lying, cunning and manipulating, lack of remorse, callousness, poor behavioral controls, impulsiveness, irresponsibility, denial, failure to accept responsibility for one's own actions and so forth, which are assessed in interviews and based on the opinion of a clinician to answers given.
