Democrats expected to bring voting rights protections bill to Senate

Nope. You obviously didn't understand what you read.

How can you claim that when you haven't even bothered to read the bill? At least I have read it. I've even posted excerpts and quotes from it on this board over the last six months or so.

Your 'excerpts' are all lies and distortions. Why should anyone believe anything you say?

Who doesn’t have the right to vote?

The right to vote and the ability to do so are two different things. Making voting more difficult is going to cause some people who would have otherwise voted to not do so. Since the problem these state laws are intended to solve are non-existent, there is only one real reason to pass them, and that is to use them to disenfranchise certain groups of people. Hey, black churches like to take their congregations en masse to vote after church on Sunday. Hey, let's put a provision in our bill that doesn't allow Sunday voting until 1 P.M. Hey, counties with high black populations utilized drive in voting. Let's get rid of that. Every county only needs one drop box, right? Doesn't matter how many people LIVE in that county.

There is absolutely no question that these laws are intended to suppress Democratic votes. And those provision aren't even the most dangerous provisions in some of these bills. Those provisions will allow partisan individuals to simply declare the entire vote invalid. So it wouldn't matter how many people voted, none of them count. I cannot think of a single good reason that anyone would oppose the Voting Rights Act.

I can give one single good reason. Automatic registration. I personally know one person who DOES NOT want to be registered. There are people that do not want to be registered for whatever reason.

I'm cool with that. Registration seems like a somewhat outdated concept anyway. All it does is help parties identify likely voters, and there are better algorithms now anyway.

I really have no interest in what you Trump fascists believe. You're an enemy of democracy.

I have no interest in idiots who think that someone who disagrees with them on a political position is a "Trumper" or a "Fascist" or a "Racist" or a "Communist" without evidence or even a remote curiosity whether they are any of those things.
