We did destroy their country, but why should we continue making mistakes to cover for the first one? The best we can do is train security forces and then allow THEM to build their country the way THEY want it. Become an ally with them and promise military backing for the next 10-20 years if invaded, but we have to get out of there when we aren't wanted.

Yeah. We should pay them war reparations too though, and take in refugees.

As much as I disagree with that because I feel like I shouldn't have to pay for something I never supported, I know its something we will have to do. In order to keep America safe, we have to do what is right around the world. Who will attack us if we have no enemies! It's going to take generations to fix our image but it must start now.
