I know Dave, and I know you sincerely want this war ended and that you have no hidden motive. Nothing I say is about you at all.
I want it ended too. I'll support anything, including impeachment and cutting off funding, regardless of the price. But I just have this thing where I don't like to be taken for stupid, and I want bush voters to know, that I know there's a price, and that I know they're not interested in ending any wars. They're interested in destroying democrats, period.

That "broken campaign promises" line is pure claptrap. Apparently you want the '08 presidential candidates to answer for campaign promises made in '06 by exactly no one.
Show me any of the '08 candidates saying, prior to the '06 election, that they would remove all troops from Iraq. I have yet to see it.
Furthermore, to the extent the Democrats prior to the '06 election said they would work to end the war, they have tried everything they said they would try. Almost every single Democrat said, prior to the '06 election, that they would not cut off funding to the troops to end the war. Now you're trying to hold them responsible for not doing something that they never claimed they would do.
Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed that they have caved to Bush on a timetable for withdrawal, but where I'm sitting 50 votes isn't enough to get things done in the Senate. Until some responsible Republicans start voting with the Democrats on these bills nothing is going to happen.
No, that I do not accept or know. I know that if any republican candidate (excluding RP) is elected, we are not leaving Iraq. I know if Hillary is elected we are not leaving Iraq. I strongly suspect, with some evidence, that if most dems running are elected, we are not leaving Iraq. But I do not accept that any of the above have to be elected

Yep, I was just backing up your arguement, saying he didn't have to vote for Kerry either if he didn't like him. He still voted for Bush even with the option to pick someone who more closely represents him, unless Bush was the best representative for him. Too many people are easily duped into the 'He'll never win' arguement when they are getting ready to vote and decide to vote for a popular candidate to try and get the lesser of two evils. Then it comes back to bite them in the ass when that fuckin' candidate they voted for pulls the shit they do.

The boar won't be running... except to run to his room to cry about not winning the nobel prize... If he by some chance does win it... then the value of that award has been even further diminished.
But I will agree with you on one point... IF he decides to run, he could take out Hillary. She has made herself extremely vulnerable with her vote yesterday. A few months ago I would not have given him a chance at knocking her off.
And if nominated, he'll win the general by a larger margin than any other democrat. And you will have to say President Gore! I can't wait!

2) Bush tax cuts gone.. tax increase
3) SSI will be taxed on all income… tax increase
4) National healthcare.. tax increase
And we will still be in iraq. Any you will still re-elect her and blame the republicans as half your paycheck goes to the government then another 400 a month for private health insurance as you national healthcare sucks as bad as Canadians do.
