Here's the answer to the question I posed.

A majority of americans want war funding with a withdrawl timetable.

A majority of americans do NOT want an immediate cut off of funding.


Cawacko, which party is doing what the majority wants? Dems? or GOP?

Innocent men, women, and childern are dying everyday and you're worried about what republicans might say.

Brave Americans are being blown apart for profit and you're worried about what republicans might say.

Well, there's another thing Cawacko. So you assume by any means necessary right? Well you are wrong.

ALL polls on this question show the same thing. A clear majority want the war ended, a clear majority do not want to cut off funding.

They have been convinced, by guess who? REPUBLICANS, that defunding the war would be "defunding our troops" and in fact, Boehner cried about it on the senate floor.

I agree it would be a good thing for them to do, and I would support them afterword... but the middle wouldnot, because the Republicans would talk about how they are weak and surrendered!

These are the facts.

As for me? I'm torn between a cut off, and a timetable. I know Bush will leave soldiers to die in Iraq, if money is immediately cut off. I'm hoping there's some kind of legislative tool, that will avoid these consequences.

Tell that to your armchair quarterback Dems who have been trying to micromanage the war since 2003. Also, tell your Dem leaders to take responsibility for THEIR actions. They gave authorization to use force, they did so again yesterday on Iran..... because they know people like you will immediately start spouting off excuses as to why they did so.

Well there is a radical idea; that the democrats learn how to stand up for themselves and fight. I admit I did not think of that one. Maybe because I haven't seen it since the day the towers went down and took democratic backbone with it. But I'd surely love to see it rise again.

I just don't get what they are so damned worried about if they really did want to end this war in congress. They have the backing of the American people to end this war. No 'talk' from the Republicans is going to hurt you in any serious manner.
