Well, it really is the Reps fault... I mean having a majority in both houses of Congress means you aren't able to do anything. Hell, it is probably the Reps fault that none of them seem to be confident in their ability to end it should they be elected President. Either they fear that they will lose one of the houses or they fear that their own ineptitude will take over once elected.

Sure they do, my point is that the people are fickle and you must appear to be on opposit sides of some big issues if you are going to get elected in this nation. It sucks, because we end up with worthless presidents.

But if you declare you are for ending this war you end up a marganlized canidate. If the Democrats end the war, they SURRENDERED. If they dont end the war, they are weak.

Then maybe instead of worrying what they call you, you should just do what's right?

It sucks as far as passing any meaningful resolutions to end the war goes, but a filibuster is a useful tool in preserving minority rights in America. It should be kept indefinitely. The first sign of a one part state will be removing the filibuster.

Ending Vietnam also had majority support from Americans, and when they ended it Democrats were succesfully painted as weak on national security, a label they still wear. That's where that came from.
