Many of us who have had the Virus and continue to test positive for the antibodies do not have to hide from a virus they are now immune from. This is basic medical science that you all seem to ignore.

This is patently false, democrats made it worse by putting infected people in nursing homes. 40% of our deaths came from nursing homes. The reason the democrats are pulling the #metoo card on cuomo is to deflect and protect the other 4 democrat governors who did the same thing as cuomo.

Quite surprising to see a self-declared free thinking Libertarian always leaping out of his chair to passionately defend Republicans and enthusiastically attack democrats.

Are you actually sure you were telling the truth about being a free thinking Libertarian?

A national and international pandemic requires an aggressive national reponse from the national government.

Other developed nations showed that a aggressive national response could reasonably mitigate the threat of the pandemic.

Your president lied about the threat we faced and downplayed the risk. He fully admitted to downplaying the risk to Bob Woodward.

American voters had an opportunity to pass judgement on Trump's COVID Response. They deemed it inept, by making him only the fourth sitting president in a century to be unceremoniously tossed out of office and fired.

I think neither side has been honest, or great when it comes to covid. you can go all ad hom and lie about me if you want, but it would just make you look like the fool that you are. I can disagree with you, and your ilk, without a requirement to be a trump supporter. The nations that handled the pandemic as you claim, are more authoritarian regimes, not something I would want to be a part of, being a libertarian and all. your binary thinking stumps your intellectual growth.


And your half baked position begs a couple questions. Where is bidens "agressive response", and do you really believe a joe biden would have handled the pandemic in a more, and most likely extra constitutional way?

One can be a free thinking Libertarian and attack either parties positions, or party members actions, just as easily as defend the same. A Libertarian doesn't always attack democrats or republicans.

You might not want to trust in your alleged antibodies too much. Did you notice that both the Trumps, who claimed to have had COVID last year, got the vaccine? Physicians are recommending that you receive it even if you did test positive in the past. It will help protect you against the variants as well.

Yes, I think Joe Biden, Barack Obama, even George Dumbya Bush would have handled the pandemic better.

TrumpCo. and his minions on this board downplayed and lied about the risk we faced for critical months. Lying about a risk is a guaranteed way to stunt the mobilization of an aggressive national effort to mitigate the pandemic.

New Zealand is a tiny isolated Island. It is easy to shut and isolate a country like that down. I don not think the comparison is valid.


As long as my titer level remains where it is, I trust in it just as I would with a vaccine, thank you for your concern. physicians recommend? Perhaps you have a peer reviewed study showing the efficacy of natural immunity vs acquired immunity on variants to back up the claim of what "doctors" say.

My understanding of medical science is that the presence of antibodies does not ensure immunity. There is an issue of the level of antibodies. Immunity might require more than are indicated in a test.

The CDC is comprised of many very highly educated scientists with extensive experience. I would not begin to try to tell the CDC what they should be doing. The CDC certainly does not tell us that if we have antibodies or the vaccine we can ignore all the guidelines. What they have been saying is we should still ere on the side of caution and continue to observe the guidelines. President Biden says he is hopeful that by July 4th, we can have small family gatherings. That's what I am listening to.

And it is only logical. Any risks taken are risking lives. Even if we think the risks are minimal, you don't get lives back once they are gone. And we have lost too many already.

Nothing more laughable than the libertarian party, who has never won ANYTHING, complaining about government. Their good ideas are already baked into the platforms of both parties. And their bad ideas are REALLY, REALLY bad. But I digress. Trumps Covid response was incompetent and dangerous. Biden has almost completely turned that around in less than two months. On this one, the Biden Administration far exceeded my expectations. The fact that we have managed to pull off this vaccination campaign is all on Biden. Trump may have pushed for the development of the vaccine (because he thought it would help his re-election), but he was uninterested in distribution, because he knew that would happen mostly AFTER the election, and he knew he could just blame the states.

You didn't answer my question. I didn't say "better" I am sure you may be correct, what I am saying that in order for this nation to have the success of say S. Korea, you would need a culturally obedient public and while S. Korea is a democracy, they are a very statist ethnocentric nation.. so in order for us to handle the virus like say china claims (if you believe them) you would have to manage the virus at gunpoint.


The downplaying btw, was done by St. Fauci and co. Trump who knows nothing of anything science, sold St. Fauci's positions.

What specifically did Biden do to "completely turn around" our pandemic response? the only thing that changed was the coverage by a hostile press and he simply wears a mask. Besides lying in his address about trumps response, what else did he do? nothing has changed, biden took over as the 800 million doses ordered by trump started arriving.

We only need to look at the real world examples we already have. Getting a virus produces antibodies to that virus. So when you get the flu, you are unlikely to get it again DURING THAT FLU SEASON. But you need a flu shot again next year, because your immunity is now gone, and there are new variants each season. This is what will happen with Covid as well. Get the shot, don't get the shot. That's a personal choice. But lying about vaccinations is just that. Lying.
