Nobody is advocating for it to be mandatory. It should be something everyone wants. The reason is because people need to trust their government. If you have a diverse populace, they are able to have more trust in a government which is just as diverse.

The reason healthcare is much better in Europe and Canada is because when countries have a sense of national identity, people care about each other. America doesn't have that, which is why we've become more capitalist and haven't been able to achieve better healthcare like the rest of the western world.

Nothing racist about it. The conjecture is unsupported.

It is only logical that a representative government reflects the genders and ethnicities being represented. Where it is not, that is an area of concern.

I'm neither for it nor against it.

I care about competence, and I care about decency. It can me monochromatic or a rainbow--it doesn't matter to me.

Why should someone get paid for maternity leave for the results from actions outside of work? Just another example of people wanting something for nothing.
