The Republicans falsify that they don't want the Dems to stop, because they know this hearing riles up the Republicans' foes.

The Pubs want it all to quiet down so they can get K on SCOTUS while keeping the House and the Senate.

The Pubs will lose the House, probably get K on the Court, and possibly keep the Senate, but the more their hate and rage are evident, the less chances the Republican Senators will vote for K.

Actually you raise an interesting point. My side has control of the gubmint and they have gotten very little done. It isn’t because if Trump. It is because of the weakness of Ryan. I opposed him as Speaker

Thank you, Don...although I disagree that it is because of Ryan.

It is because of a host of things...most notably being that the Republican Party bought into the absurdity mentioned in Ronald Reagan's first inaugural address...that government is not part of the solution...government is the problem.

Society...civilization...DEPENDS on government to survive. (I guess it could be argued that absolute dictatorship provides the same, but I will assume none of us wants absolute dictatorship other than the abomination, Donald Trump.)

Republicans CANNOT effectively govern...because governing is more than the bullshit the Republicans use when out of power. Governing often means making difficult and unpopular choices. Republicans are incapable of that (other than making unpopular choices for people with brains.)

Anyway...American conservatives RIGHT NOW...control the White House, the House of Representatives, the Senate, the Judiciary (in a big way), the governorships of a vast majority of the states...and the state houses of a vast majority of the states...

...AND THEY ARE CRYING ABOUT LIBERALS OBSTRUCTING THEM.

If Ryan were to walk away tomorrow...the problem with Republican "governance" would not change an iota.
