I’m pretty confident people know how to grow other things besides cocaine in South America. I am also confident that with a $2 trillion deficit would be better off spending that money paying down our debt.

Well then maybe you should get a hold of your Republican Congressman and tell them to stop writing bill like those on the list in post #3 looking at that list most of that spending was done when the Republicans had control of the House and we know all spending bills have to start in the House.

Switching cash crops for any farmer is difficult. There is a lot of learning involved.
It is odd that the alt right always assumes everyone else's job is easy. They assume that coca farmers can just switch to a new cash crop, and automatically know how to do it.
Reducing cocaine abuse is often a very good way to spend money, saving far more than it costs, very cost effective.
But if you do not agree, we could legalize cocaine, and shift everything we spend on fighting cocaine abuse into paying down the deficit.
What amazes me is alt left folks such as yourself I think it’s more important to help farmers in a foreign country before helping farmers at home or any other number of issues. We have here at home.

I am not against DOGE it is just the way they have started I don't agree with. You don't go in and cut or stop funding everything then go look for the fraud and waste , you go in and look for the waste and fraud first then cut it.
They paused funding- they are cutting programs.

you should go in look at the programs then find the waste and fraud then cut, you don't just go in and cut , harm people that need these programs because of these cuts then look for the fraud and waste.

The president, as the executive, is within the powers granted to him to cut programs that fall under his purview. Especially programs that are antithetical to his agenda and the welfare of this country.
Yes, we have other means to fight drugs. We should give the money to our farmers.-to our citizens in need.
So if fighting drugs is done cheaply and effectively, then our citizens need the money, but if fighting drugs is done expensively and ineffectively, then it is a good idea?

IMO he is doing it all ass backwards , You don't go in with a bulldozer and take down a third of the forest when all you were suppose to do is trim a couple of trees.
And that is what it looks like he is doing.
You don't go in and cut every program across the board first, you go in and find the fraud and waste FIRST THEN you cut.
Cutting programs first could hurt a lot of people that depend on these programs to survive.
