Dominion files $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell

All they have to do is win any of the other cases pending, and they have precedent. The Giuliani/Kraken cases should be easy to win.

Even TA admitted that the claims were completely outrageous. Unfortunately for the defendants, there is evidence that millions of people believed those outrageous claims. So they have HUGE problems.

I agree. Mikepillow is only one of several bad actors who conspired to damage Dominion.

Dominion is unlikely to get anything from it. They'd have to prove that their company lost something close to that in sales because of Lindell's comments. That's incredibly unlikely. So, this is just Dominion trying to punish Lindell for talking smack about them. At best the court will find Lindell has to shut the hell up. But monetary damages require proving you were actually harmed monetarily. I doubt Dominion can do that.

They are a company dependent on their good reputation to sell to governments. It is an easy case to prove that Lindell's lies hurt them. They do not have to prove the exact amount, like you seem to imply, just that it is likely that it will cost them sales in the future. Remember this is just a preponderance of the evidence case, so they only need 51% certainty. They have this one.

Once again, you are running from defending Lindell's statements as truths. If they were the truth, that would be an absolute defense.

There is zero chance they can show 1.3 Billion in damages from My Pillow guy saying they suck.

He made specific, lying statements about them cheating in the election. There has been specific threats made against their families because of his lies. Contracts have been cancelled.

But if Dominion is serious about actually going to court [which I doubt] that means discovery.

You continue to believe that they are trying to hide something, they are not. They would welcome discovery...

Lindell has a very shady history. I doubt he would like discovery.

The point wasn't what the guy said, the point was they wouldn't be able to show 1.3 Billion in damages.

Judges and juries do not like hearing death threats against family members, and when you multiple that by a thousand...

Lindell's net worth is supposedly $300 million, but I somehow doubt it is really that high. And a lot of his net worth is rapped up in his reputation, which would not be transferable. If they can get $50 million out of him in the end, I will be surprised. What a judge will most likely do is give Dominion $600 million, and they can pick as much as they can from Lindell's financial corpse(obviously that is a figurative corpse, not a literal corpse, we have to be careful these days.)

It's so laughable. These clowns still think Dominion has something to hide. They don't. Discover away. Discovery is limited to asking Dominion to provide evidence that would show that Lindell was telling the truth. It isn't 'whatever Lindell asks for'. What can Dominion ask for? They can ask for every single correspondence that Lindell had with Trump or any of his cronies. Who do you think has more to lose?

better sell a few more pillows there Mikey!

Dominion Voting Systems on Monday sued MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell for more than $1.3 billion in damages, alleging that the Trump ally exploited the baseless conspiracy theory that Dominion's voting machines rigged the election for Joe Biden to sell more pillows.

The big picture: Lindell is the latest Trump ally to face a multibillion-dollar lawsuit from Dominion or Smartmatic, another voting machine company subjected to a campaign of false claims about the election.

Pro-Trump lawyers Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani have each been sued by Dominion for $1.3 billion in damages.
Earlier this month, Smartmatic sued Powell, Giuliani, Fox News and some of the network's top hosts for $2.7 billion.

Lindell, who received a cease-and-desist letter from Dominion in January, told Axios at the time: "I want Dominion to put up their lawsuit because we have 100% evidence that China and other countries used their machines to steal the election."....HAHAHA

What they're saying: "Lindell’s statements have exposed Dominion to the most extreme hatred and contempt. Lindell himself called it the “biggest crime ever committed in election history against our country and the world," Dominion wrote in its 115-page complaint.

Dominion is one of the most heavily audited companies on Earth. They have nothing to hide. Meanwhile, Lindell is a born again Christian who is a cocaine addict... In short, he is hiding all sorts of freaky stuff.

Lindell is in a lot of trouble. That is why you see Fox News, and even Alex Jones running from this disaster as fast as they can.

Why is Dominion refusing to let authorities check the voting machines? What are they hiding?

It's a just civil suit.
I like trumpanzees faced with criminal charges when their old Pardoner in Chief is reduced to playing bad golf in exile.
And I'm sure if they look hard enough, they can find one for that pillow assclown.

Except they are acting like they do, for instance with this lawsuit.

I think we can all agree that Lindell follows your advice, but for different reasons. You are sure that Dominion is doing a bluff, and really will not follow through with this lawsuit. I am sure that Dominion will go for blood, because they have nothing to hide. If you are right, Lindell can safely continue. If I am right, Lindell is deadmeat.

They are not. Arizona just finished a forensic audit of Dominion machines and they were found to give fair and accurate votes. They are hiding nothing.
However, you are not allowed to check E&E machines. They claim proprietary information will get out. Those machines give vote counts out of line with predictions.

If dominion continues with the law suit they will be screwed because they will have to allow investigations of the machines
