Dominion files $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell

They are not. Arizona just finished a forensic audit of Dominion machines and they were found to give fair and accurate votes. They are hiding nothing.
However, you are not allowed to check E&E machines. They claim proprietary information will get out. Those machines give vote counts out of line with predictions.

That's just Son of a Bitch making shit up again so he can live comfortably in his little happy place. If he knew the real truth that Trump made up the Big Lie to scam millions of his minions to the tune of $4 million, he'd have a nervous breakdown.

Dominion is unlikely to get anything from it. They'd have to prove that their company lost something close to that in sales because of Lindell's comments. That's incredibly unlikely. So, this is just Dominion trying to punish Lindell for talking smack about them. At best the court will find Lindell has to shut the hell up. But monetary damages require proving you were actually harmed monetarily. I doubt Dominion can do that.

Even worse. Dominion has opened up an avenue of discovery. That means MORE investigation into their scam.

If dominion continues with the law suit they will be screwed because they will have to allow investigations of the machines

Pretty much. If Dominion refuses to share their source code in court and put that into evidence, they have no case. It's like several Gorebal Warming cases have gone now. These too were brought by 'True Believers' within the climate change community against persons who disparaged their science and scientific claims. In court their cases fell apart because they refused to make the underlying science, research, and data available to the court.

For Dominion to prevail they'll have to prove their machines weren't screwed with, have means to prevent hacking to a reasonable point, and that their own code isn't malicious. To do that, they're going to have to provide that code to the court and defense as part of discovery. They refuse, they have nothing.

Again. Arizona just finished a forensic audit. The machines are clean. Can you understand you are wrong? They will sue because they have a case,. Lindell is like many rightys who believe lies that are so outrageous that we laugh at them.

They are also going to have to show that the software isn't hackable, but that has already been shown to be false. it is hackable.
Dominiion has no case. This is just thuggery.

Lie.
Can you understand you are wrong?
He isn't. You are.
They will sue because they have a case,
They have no case, and are exposing themselves to further investigations into Dominion voting machines and the company.
Lindell is like many rightys who believe lies that are so outrageous that we laugh at them.
Inversion fallacy.

To have a case, Dominion will have to prove their software was not only not hacked but couldn't be reasonably be hacked. The later is clearly been proven, repeatedly, to not be the case. That doesn't mean it was hacked during the election, but rather that it could be hacked.
That means Lindell has every right as his free speech to make claims it was hacked.
This is will be a very tough case for Dominion to win.

I agree. Dominion's problem is that they are not "private", they are involved in a very public process with our elections so they can't get butthurt about things the way a private citizen can.

Their reputation is damaged. That's why it's called 'per se'. You know what 'per se' means, right? So, you admit that the statements are so hyperbolic that they are wrong? Can I assume that's your position? You don't believe the lies that are still being told by Trump and his cronies?

Can Trump sue all you liberals for defaming him? LOL you simpleton

Nope. You need to stop playing junior lawyer, because you are hopelessly ignorant. Lindell has to prove what he was saying IS true, not the other way around. That means he has to prove his claims based on the evidence he had at the time he made them.

No shit, the idea that a victim of malicious lies must reveal closely guarded trade secrets and patents is absurd. The fact that this poser paraded that supposition as if giving a lecture is an object lesson in avoiding Google law school grads. Law is a profession. You can't just ..fake it. Those who know ..know immediately. It's a paradox. Or a catch 22. Can't recall which.

Nope. The truth is an absolute defense. Remember when he was going to sue all of his accusers? How'd that work out for him?

I think I'll sue every company on the S&P. Make them give me their proprietary info. TA said I could. In fact I have to. In defamation, full disclosure.

I should check with a real lawyer. I hear PMP is pretty sharp.

:rofl2::rofl2:

They are so fucking stupid, it's sublime.

And he knows stuff. It isn't just the stupidity and the ignorance. It's the arrogance with which they present their retarded arguments. It's over the top. Like a six year old being brought in to coach the Lakers. He'll explain how little they know about basketball.

So, he brings in some professional hackers and they hack the machines showing it could be done. What's Dominion's response to that? After all, any reasonable person knows that's possible, as these pros have repeatedly shown.

That's where Dominion has to prove it wasn't.

No, that's where My Pillow needs to prove it did.

The burden of proof is on Lindell, not Dominion.

Courts don't ask to prove a negative.

The only burden of proof for Dominion is the effect your lies have on their business, which is something they can very easily prove just by way of the threatening messages and communication they've received from people like you, suckered into believing THE BIG LIE because confronting reality is just too difficult.
