So any tax dollars spent should ONLY be spent on thing you agree with? And everyone else either has to make do without cops or hire off-duty cops at their expense?

Tax dollars should be spent on things that benefit the whole of society and the public in general. Special interest groups shouldn't be funded by taxpayers.

Minority, majority, if it doesn't have a general benefit, it shouldn't be government sponsored. Roads benefit everybody. Police and fire benefit everybody. Celebrating a tiny slice of sexual proclivities is something the government shouldn't be involved with.

Gays and lesbians make up around 7.6% of our population. That "sliver" is a shade over 26 million citizens.
