Not to mention, in peacetime needing collectively tens of millions in psychiatric care, far beyond other troops. Military service is stressful in and of itself, and transgenders are particularly vulnerable to suicide. Putting them in the miliary is putting an incredibly high-risk suicide group at even greater risk.

There are many trans people who aren’t suicidal and never have been.

Trans people can serve in capacities that don’t require them to be on the front line.
There are ways to get around this requirement.
