you presented only outcome, not reasons why....you only showed disparate numbers and that alone is not factual proof of racism....if it was, then i could say that because there are more black people in the NBA, overall numbers and their percentage to the overall population, then the NBA is racist.....
Isn't context important? Has anyone taken what you said out of context?
Wrong again sir.
I gave you studies and investigations from a pethora of different sources, including the DEA.
You gave me unlearned and unstudied opinion founded in bullshit, not facts, not evidence.
You are entitled to your opinion .. but that's all you have .. unfounded opinion.
I got you sir .. I fully understand where you're coming from.
why isn't the NBA racist, according to your cites, the racial disparity of NBA players isn't equal.....thus is racist
Hmmm you bring up an interesting point about the socialist nature of pro sports. You are correct it is a quasi socialist business model but pro sports are a bit unique in that the employees (the players) are the product.
I wonder what conservatives think about this? Should pro-sports adopt the free market model?
SM...i don't have the context, but some things stand alone....and yes, context does matter....unless you can show me that the context changes that sentence, which i believe stands alone....i will view it as racist
Why is it that you think folks can level an accusation at someone and not back it up? Aren't we innocent until proven guilty? Or does that ideal pertain to everything except the race card?SM...i don't have the context, but some things stand alone....and yes, context does matter....unless you can show me that the context changes that sentence, which i believe stands alone....i will view it as racist
I could point out the different muscle structure of certain African tribes is different than that of the typical European tribe, but then BAC will call me racist.why isn't the NBA racist, according to your cites, the racial disparity of NBA players isn't equal.....thus is racist

Because in America a man is innocent until prove guilty, so the burden of proof is on you. It is also an argumentum ad ignorantiam (argument to ignorance).again...if your claim is that the context changes the meaning of the sentence....then produce it....i gave you his words that i believe make him a racist....why don't you give me the context that you claim shows this is not racist....

I listen to the guy enough to know that there are many, many times when he's being absurd to point out absurdity. Since I don't know the context of this statement, I'll have to give him the benefit of doubt and say that this is one of those times. He is required by the FCC to archive every minute of every program, so the evidence is not hidden to anyone who wants to nail his ass to the wall. I'm not asking you to do that, but you and I both know the man has a lot of enemies, and if they had a valid case they would have obtained the entire context and nailed his ass, becoming heroes to a fawning liberal media. No one's done that, which only reinforces my conclusion.
I gave you evidence that disputes yours; that the entire context is archived and nobody will bother to dispute it that way.what? i gave you evidence, the burden now shifts to you to prove my evidence is wrong.....you know better than to get legal with me
and you're the one ignoring the evidence, by ASSuming the context makes the statement not racist....if you want to get legal....then the burden has shifted to you....lets see your proof bad boy
I gave you evidence that disputes yours; that the entire context is archived and nobody will bother to dispute it that way.

I thought spurt had the gayest post ever here. Until isaw southernwife beaters vomit.
The commish thinks Rush is a racist. The commish and southernman are on the opposite ends of the class scale.
Of course it’s evidence:huh....that is not evidence at all....good lord dude...are you joking here?
hey, the sky was purple a million years ago, the evidence is archived and no one alive can dispute that....
you're the one that claims that context exists....get it and show me i'm wrong![]()

Don't blame Limbaugh for our faults
....
Limbaugh tried to become a minority owner of a professional football team and some of us behaved as if he was one of the young men caught on video beating Derrion Albert to death in the streets of Chicago.
I'm not a Limbaugh fan but I'm not upset over him being involved in purchasing a team either. I would simply give his squad the same amount of support I give his other projects -- none. There are just more pressing things to focus on.
If the NAACP or NFLPA speaks with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on societal or image matters, I would rather they talk about new ways to improve the public education system in cities where NFL teams are located than give an opinion on who buys a team.
Limbaugh may be a racist, but he is not the reason there are more black men in prison than in college. We are.

good article and i agree with most everything the author said....
Where is it archived? The source is 1990 article and I can't find it online. The show it appeared on must have been pre-1990. Rush might have it archived, but none of us here have access to it. I'd love to provide you with it just to see how you are going to spin it.
Why don't you entertain us with an explanation of the "bloods and crips" comment. Here http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/200910120009 you can find full context.
Let me guess how it's going to go.
"He was talking about classless behavior, taunting and excessive celebrations."
Okay, nothing wrong with complaining about that. Plenty of people from all races have complained about it, but why did he need to throw in what was clearly a racially charged statement and stereotype. Maybe he is showing how classy he is?
His intent was obvious. To him, it is a black thing.
