Interesting. NY state has almost the same percentage of poverty as CA and FL. What did Ghouliani and Bloomberg do for NYC when they were in office for close to 20 years combined?

Yet DEMOCRATS have dominated LA ,and they claim to be the champions of the poor and destitute. :D

Los Angeles County has voted DEMOCRAT in every Presidential election since 1988. Los Angeles County has voted for the DEMOCRAT candidate in most of the presidential elections in the past four decades...

Only 21.% of LA County voters are registered Republicans.

Only 1 Republican serves an LA district in the House.

In the California State Senate, Los Angeles County has only 3 Republican Senators out of 15 total.

In the California State Assembly, Los Angeles County, only 2 Republicans represent the County in Sacramento.

What did repub Richard Riordan do for the poor and destitute from 1993-2001, leggiecrite?

Troubles in San Francisco Push Some Voters to Think Republican
“People are starting to ask, ‘Maybe we need a Rudy Giuliani?’ ”

Since that article is a year old I can tell you they aren't. London Breed won the interim Mayor's race last year and her top opponent was even more progressive than she was. She'll likely run in November with no major opposition.

But yes we do need a Giuliani type very badly.

I don't recall him claiming to be the savior of the poor and destitute.

DEMOCRATS have failed to solve LA's homelessness problem, so how can they solve America's issues?

Hmmm. I don't recall that someone has to "claim to be the savior of the poor and destitute" before doing the right thing because it's the right thing.

Honesty should compel you to admit that NEITHER party solved the homelessness problem. IMO it can be managed but not solved. :nodyes:

Giuliani by far did the best job of cleaning up a big city.
Singapore has no homeless problem, one of the cleanest cities in the world. Caning works.

Singapore's human rights record sucks.
Whatever it takes to solve the problem. I'd say allowing open pooping, filth, open drug use, openly masterbating (I saw this in DT Portland) and non-enforcement of petty crimes are not human rights. In fact it's not even human.
Caning works.

Caning works, what a lowlife human our little pig anonymouse is.
Open pooping, filth, open drug use, openly masterbating (I saw this in DT Portland) and non-enforcement of petty crimes is what you consider a highly cultured society.
I'd rather be the pig, thank you.
Caning works.

To each his own of course but even if caning works I don’t want to see that implemented here. Fvxk the government having that much control over our actions.

But as much as liberals complained about the “broken windows” policy in NYC it helped turned the City from one of the dirtiest and crime infested into the one of the cleanest and safest.

San Francisco is one of the dirtiest cities in the country, and (some) people complain about it but there’s zero political will to deal with it so it not only continues it gets worse.

But I would never want caning to deal with it.

The vast majority are not homeless by choice. They're indigent, mentally-ill or both. And you think a good caning is all they need to get back on track.

Jesus wept.
