Branson is a huge tourist area anymore and attracts ppl from other countries as well as across this one. Those boats are popular in a lot of resort-with-lake areas. You are right about the life jacket; when you are trapped inside that's not much help. I don't know why the operator took it out when the severe weather was expected. Lawsuit coming, no doubt. Mostly I feel bad for the families who lost their loved ones. Nine from one family alone.

Not everyone in or from Missouri is a moron.

I have been called some awful names by people for saying this in the real world, but I don't find a baby's death by accident (or any other reason) any more sad than a miserable 89 year old drunk chain smoking cancer patient with three weeks left to live dying in the same or similar cause. Death is what it is. Maybe it is because I have been around it my whole life; maybe it is because I have no uterus; or maybe it is as one person said I clearly have no soul. Don't know.
