Inflation has been around since fiat money. Fiat money itself causes inflation because it only serves to satisfy government expansion.
The inflation being discusses here, however, is the dollar devaluation caused by Biden and the Democrats to try to print their way out of their financial problems. During the Biden years, the dollar has so far been devalued about 30%.

Rightys, especially the ones here, have no knowledge of what makes oil prices go up and down. Oil is an oligopoly. Have you ever noticed they all make prices go up the same amount at the same time? Do you think they all have the same costs? Oil is speculated on the commodities board. Investors gamble on oil and whether the price will move up or down. The Saudi oil minister pegged that market as 30 percent of the cost of oil.
We have had many incidents of OPEC openly and clearly making prices go up or down at will. A few players controlling an energy market will do it to enrich themselves.

Biden opened up lots of oil leases against the wishes of the party. It is meaningless in regards to oil prices because they are sitting on millions of acres of lease land not used. Getting more just cuts their taxes.
