The main difference between pre November and today is the addition of the upcoming President number 47 and his representation (transition team members) on such teams.

Use your head, if this was a Trump deal why is it being announced now? Trump isn’t President till 1/21, so why now is the deal being formula and announced? Why wouldn’t the parties wait a week for Trump to announce it at his Inauguration?

For the same reason the deal for the hostages in Iran was announced before Reagan took office, because that is when the deal was made.

Use your brain. The stink of failure on pResident Braindead is overwhelming, he was not the catalyst for this change.

And in addition, the new President, who isn’t President yet, didn’t “send folks,” the existing team, as part of the transition effort, was joined by a Trump person, not a team, a representative person.

The reality: Incoming presidents have far more leverage than outgoing presidents do.

The Iranian Government never wanted to hostages, they were forced to take the hostages by the students. They certainly did not want the hostages after the Iran-Iraq War started. The hostages were a distraction that they did not want during a war for their own survival.

Reagan promised them more money to wait until he was President to release the hostages.
