Fluke for Congress

prevented? I have no idea. Maybe you gave him instructions to be silent.

"answered" a question not posed to you? yes.

So, in a question addressed to everyone except the Commander, will Democrats in the contested district flock to Fluke without knowing anything about her except

1] She has a vagina
2] Rush Limbaugh called her a slut?

If they do, then she'll be the next congresswoman from that district. I hope they pick wisely.

She won't be; apparently she has decided to run for the Senate. Her political confusion appears to be just as tortured as her testimony supporting her inability to afford Birth Control...forgetting the fact that she was able to attend an exclusive law school.

YES; because Democrats really are THAT stupid.

Apparently she changed her mind about running for Waxmans' House seat and will try for the state Senate instead.

Maybe she found out Obamacare won't pay her campaign expenses...

in your two cases, that is like comparing the virtues of crack whores, or the relative intelligence of house plants.;)

I bow to your superior knowledge of those subjects, Commander. Maybe you could take on some consulting work with that expertise.

Plus, Limbaugh called her a slut. That should help.

You know, in all honesty, it does. If you look at who the two most likely candidates for President is in 2016, as of today, it is Chris Christie and Hillary. You know why that is? Because Republicans hate Hillary, and Democrats hate Chris Christie. I honestly think the Christie scandal doesn't last into 2016 and he'll be a lesser known figure to the Democrats, thus less vitriol, thus less free marketing.

I don't think Democrats "hate" Christie any more than anyone else who doesn't sport a "D" after their name.

Their poutrage looks like it was ginned up to counter what their strategists saw as a credible threat to The Hildebeast.

Like polishing your bell curve?

...no...like going off to explore a new art gallery, or try the new Oaxacan restaurant in town...

or trying to find a store that sells good bitters - I can't offer my guest a good manhattan or old fashioned without them....

fun and important stuff like that.

any candidate arising from the centrist wing of the GOP is more of a threat than any tea bagger could possibly be.

Rush Limbaugh was a godsend to her. Would we really know her name like we do if it wasn't for him? Especially in California where her competition is going to be fellow Democrats, not Republicans. It's like a badge of honor for her to have had Limbaugh attack her.

You're right.

I wonder why she changed her mind on taking Waxmans' seat?

Democratic attorney and activist Sandra Fluke has decided against running for retiring Rep. Henry A. Waxman’s congressional seat, instead planning a bid for the state Senate.

“I am extremely moved by the outpouring of local and national support I have received since I announced that I was considering running for office. My entire career has been devoted to the public interest, whether representing victims of human trafficking or advocating for working families,” Fluke said late Tuesday night. “I am committed to continuing that fight in Sacramento, working to protect our environment, ensure our access to health care, and create the jobs that are desperately needed. While I strongly considered offering my candidacy for Congress, I feel there is a better way for me to advance the causes that are important to our community.”

Fluke became famous in 2012 after radio host Rush Limbaugh called her a “slut” when the then-law student testified in Congress in favor of mandatory insurance coverage of contraception.

After graduating from law school, she moved to Los Angeles, passed the California bar exam, has been active in Democratic circles and has spent time working on issues related to the foster-care system and a living wage. Rumors have long circulated that she would eventually run for office.

Fluke said she plans to run for the state Senate seat currently held by Ted Lieu, who is running for Waxman’s congressional seat.

I guess the slut was confused about which office she wanted to run for....
