Since Walmart pays such substandard wages, we subsidize them with our tax dollars. They purchase goods from sweat shops overseas. They have put many local businesses out of business. They sold foreign made pet food laced with melamine that killed a lot of pets. Yep. A lot to admire there.

Walmart doesn't pay substandard wages. If anything, those working at Walmart get paid far more than the skills they provide are worth due to minimum wage laws. If a Walmart worker can't make it on what they get, the problem isn't with Walmart paying a wage equivalent to their skills but the working offering skills that don't get the job done. It's not Walmart's fault those workers have little to offer. The government shouldn't subsidize them one penny.
