Oh yeah? Travel around the world and see the difference in nations who have adopted British institutions, like the U.S., and those those that have not.
I appreciate the vast number of contributions all other cultures have loaned us but none is as significant to this nation becoming a great power as our adoption of British civil, economic and government institutions.
Ah yes....the compadre system. The Phillipines has that problem too. My wife, now that she is a US citizen still doesn't grasp that concept that the institution is more important than the man/woman who fills that seat. That if the job isn't done properly that person will be replaced to protect that institution.
