Our war with Afghanistan is a crusade of a sort.
We went there to destroy the terrorist camps and kill Osama Bin Ladin, the terrorists escaped into Pakistan, the Taliban took up arms to fight us, and the U.S. ended up having to defend the entire country from the Taliban!
Our efforts ended up freeing those people from under Taliban rule, and they are now a Democracy with free elections.
Now, if we leave, the Taliban will just kill the Afghanistan people, end their new democracy, and the country will fall back under Taliban rule!
Now our longest war in the History of the US just keeps going, while 3 different presidents haven't seemed to figure out how to pull the plug without looking like a chickenshit for pulling out- and an asshole for freeing those people- then running out on them just to watch them all die behind us!
So, we can just keep going, and going, and going!
Or, we can always turn tail, and run, run, run!

It is not a religious war! We are not fighting the Taliban because they are Islamic! We are fighting them because they are terrorists, killers, and dangerous to the Afghanistan people overall.
It is basically a continuing war on terrorism! And we will be there until we beat the Taliban so bad, they'll never try anything again in Afghanistan!
