The medical examiner found that Chauvin pressed on Floyd's neck for eight minutes, causing a reduction in air through the windpipe. Floyd was not 100%, so this killed him. That makes it murder. The contributing factors have no bearing on the case, because you take your victim how you find him.

Actually, whether Floyd was a saint or the worst sinner has no bearing on whether it was murder or not. A prosecutor should not be standing up in court and talking about the supposed character of the victim, until the penalty phase of the court hearing.

Correct. The supposed crime was passing a fake $20. Last I checked the penalty for that was not death by torture.
