George H.W. Bush was the exact political opposite of Donald Trump

H. W. "Read my lying lips" Bush was a piece of sh1t. He was eager to sign bills that massively expanded the scope of government, such as the unconstititional Americans with Disabilities Act. He was also the first president in US history to invite sodomites to the Whitehouse just because they were b*tt-rapists.

(CNN)George H.W. Bush would never have been elected to anything in the modern Republican Party.

It's not because the former president, who died at age 94 on Friday, wasn't a "real" Republican. Bush believed in lower taxes, a smaller federal government and a robust military -- the general principles that, until the last few years, have defined modern conservatism.

It's because of Bush's approach to politics. He was not a fire-breather. His first instinct was not to vilify anyone who disagreed with him. He believed in the idea that good people can disagree. He saw compromise as a reasonable goal of government.

In the modern parlance of Republican politics, Bush's gentility would be read as insufficient commitment to the conservative cause. He would be labeled a "RINO" (Republican In Name Only) for his dalliances with Democrats on policy.

Herbert Bush was a good president.. I liked him.. Trump shouldn't go to the funeral. Nobody wants him there.. Obama, Carter, Dubya and Clinton will be welcome.

Bullshit......Bush was as deep state as it gets. Truth be known he very well could have been behind JFKs hit. Just like the death of "he who can't be named" (another deep state criminal) who died on Aug 25......the nation will be better off. The era of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS and cover ups by the deep state is over, its time THE PEOPLE resumed their rightful ownership of this republic. The difference between the Clintons and the Bush's? Just the flip side of the same coin.

Knock it off, Ralph.. Deep State is Trump's fantasy.

Well if he triggered you, he's ok by me.

You are opposed to the Americans with Disabilities Act? You must be pitifully poor.

Are you gay, bobb? You sure have issues.

Its hilarious to watch libs suddenly revere formerly hated political figures, simply because they spoke out against Trump.

I never knew anyone who hated HW Bush.. He was smart, low key and highly competent. He was a good president.

It has nothing to do with that, and it has nothing to do with being liberal or conservative.

This might be a foreign concept to you, but in civilized society most of us don't stand over someone's grave and bad mouth them.

I have been on this message board for over a decade, and I recall very few threads or posts expressing "hate" for Poppy Bush.

I might be one of the small minority here who actually cast a vote for Poppy.

I could say a lot of terrible things about Poppy, because I can think of a things he did that were objectionable and deplorable, IMO.
But I do not see the point of doing it today - and on a day like today I can certainly think of several things Poppy did that I thought were admirable, even courageous.

You might want to inform a bunch of your fellow travelers.

100% b.s. George H.W. Bush was a racist man who hated facts like all Republicans. You can try and make him honorable in death but it doesn't take away the real feelings.

cawacko, you are a crazy wacko. GHWB was an honorable man, far more than Trump ever could hope to be. Wear your Trump stain in sorrow and fear. GHWB was loved by many Dems in Congress and public life.

Scott Walker is the exact political opposite of Donald Trump. Yet the left in Wisconsin hated him with just as much venom, used all the fake Hitler comparisons and was just as deranged when he got elected and implemented an agenda.

you and every other liberal on here are full of shit. liberals by far are more politically intolerant and certainly don't believe that people that disagree with them are "good"

i have provided numerous research in the past showing the liberals are far more intolerant of opposing viewpoints. so yeah, lets not pretend that you guys actually like that stuff. the only conservatives you like are deep staters that step aside and let you roll over them.

Surely the Republicans knew that comparisons to Donald Trump and legitimate presidents were going to come up-

-because I knew they were coming just as sure as the sun comes up dawning it's day!

Thank You Very Much!

Because Trump lives rent free inside your heads. You are obsessed. It really isn’t healthy. I am beginning to become concerned for your mental stability which was obviously fragile to begin with.

Trump is on TV or tweeting something outrageous every day. Are you an American?
