Wildfires continue to plague Turkey, with multiple blazes raging along its southern coasts, threatening resort towns. At least three people died in the blazes and multiple houses were destroyed.
On Thursday, a massive fire broke out on the outskirts of the Aegean resort town of Marmaris. Footage from the scene shows open flames raging in the wooded mountains towering above the towns.

More than 80,000 people have been evacuated from their homes by the authorities as Sichuan is hit by extreme rains, triggering floods, with nearly half a million people impacted across six cities.
The highest recorded rainfall was in Qingshen in Quxian County, where 575mm (23in) of rainfall was recorded in just two days.

You can't measure the temperature of the Earth with a single thermometer, no matter how accurate it is.
You can't measure it with 7500 of them either (the figure that NASA uses).
