You are confused. Back when SNL was funny, I would actively watch the programming. I stopped making it a point to watch when SNL ceased to be funny. Yes, I could still watch a skit while flipping channels, thus verifying that SNL had not improved.

That's all a matter of individual taste and preference.

The truth is that the show has never been always funny and it has never been always unfunny. It's live ensemble comedy. Some of the skits work and some don't. Even the original cast laid an egg once in awhile.

I've watched it pretty consistently since its inception in the mid 70's and I've seen both good and bad.

The current cast still manages to come up with funny material and they also bomb occasionally.

And lastly, contrary to your BS claim about 'angry, undereducated and immature leftists", they make fun of those people too.
