Except you ignore the reality to paint your fantasy. Seriously, I gave examples and have simply stated what is. So far all you have offered is insults. Then are shocked when others return them to the point that you complain of poor treatment.

Tolerance is a two-way track.
 
What? It's been in their Constitution for a long time. Before Chavez the last time I checked. Even if it came under Chavez it's still in their Constitution. We've had our Constitution changed a good few times such as with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and women's right to vote and all that. Now we're even debating about having same-sex marriage legalized in the Constitution. It is in their Constitution. Before anything gets added to their Constitution the people have to vote on it on the national referendum. Did you follow their last election at all? Apparently not.

A referendum is offered by the government for them to vote on. Hence the need to offer it to a vote. Thankfully, that last one failed, hopefully it will on the second attempt as well.
 
I knew it was something "ruba" at the end. I didn't follow the story at all since there were other issues to follow and I had other things to do and I thought it was a personal matter that was none of my business. None the less just because it's twenty minutes away from Venezuela means shit. You're trying to put something there that isn't. Aruba or whatever does not equal Venezuela. Does Cuba now equal the United States? Apparently in your world. Hmm I guess Castro would like to know that....

If you'd bother to read their Constitution you'd know the answer. According to their Constitution before the president can use the power he has to get the okay from their National Assembly. So once they approve of it than it begins. Everything is either decided by the National Assembly or the people or the Supreme Court. The National Assembly has to give the go. I believe he's ruled by decree twice and each time got the authority from the National Assembly. They have to approve of everything first and just like with any election the majority vote rules. The last time he ruled by decree I believe he only had a 70% approval from the NA but it was still enough on his side to give him the authority.

You aren't a citizen of Venezuela are you? So you get no fucking say in what they do. If it passes than it passes and the people spoke. If it doesn't than the people spoke as well. Get over it.

I am "over it". I am thankful that those who voted against it will not be forced into something that they do not wish for.

I don't live there and do not try to tell them how to vote. You really need to relax, I am not insulting you personally by pointing out what happened elsewhere. I hope for their own personal freedoms, I watch, I don't interfere.

As I said before I work towards my own form of utopia as you do towards yours. I do see how often it ends up corrupted.

One thing that is cool... I get to watch the Lakota nation to see how my form works out in today's world.

Why? Because you don't agree with it? Oh well. It's not your say. Personally the only thing I agreed with is taking away term limits because they are undemocratic. And I get to watch Venezuela. Funny how people are happily forget them. And there's nothing for you to be thankful for since you didn't get to vote. If they passed it than oh well.
