Guns

Nowhere near what YOU are displaying. You are cherry picking to support a circular argument. You first decide to argue against guns because guns are 'bad'. Then you pick only homicides from guns (ignoring the reason for the homicide, which may involve self defense) to support your circular argument. You are attempting to prove a circular argument. That in and of itself is a fallacy. It's what a fundamentalist does.

Why do you bother with the fuck wad , jack ass ?

Spare me your make believe “if/would” bullshit.

When was the last time you saw a shooting with a machine gun?
Basically, spare you anything that points out how ridiculous your paranoia about guns is. What about your 'if only we had strict gun control laws, nobody would be killed by guns' fantasy? That is what you're saying with your obsessive focus on 40,000 deaths. Guess the success of gun control is why the UK is now flipping out about knives.

Machine guns were fairly common in the illegal drug trade as late as the early '80s, despite the severe restrictions on them since the 1930s.

Why do you insist on just homicides?
While you only insist on gun deaths. You, like most control freaks, would be perfectly happy to eliminate gun deaths, even if total homicides increased by enough so that even more people died.

Really? Guns suppress violent crime? What fucking fantasy world do you live in?

Would-be carjacker fatally shot by driver with concealed carry permit, police say

A would-be carjacker demanded a driver’s keys at gunpoint but was fatally shot by the man, who also has a concealed weapon permit, police said.

A 22-year-old man driving a Volkswagen rear-ended a 41-year-old driver of a BMW, WGN reported.

The man in the BMW got out, checked the damage, then went back to his car to get his phone. Police said, the Volkswagen driver walked over with a gun to the BMW driver and pushed him into the car, WGN reported.

The driver of the BMW grabbed his gun and shot the other man in the head, WGN reported.

Neither men have been identified.

It is unclear if charges will be filed against the surviving man, who has no criminal history and a valid concealed weapon permit, the Chicago Tribune reported.

"Detectives still have not made a determination as to whether charges are warranted,’’ police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told the Chicago Tribune. "We have not found a link between the 41-year-old Chicago man and the offender, but we’re certainly looking at that to make sure that nothing could have precipitated this."

2 masked teens shot, 1 killed by security guard at Walgreens

A security guard at a Walgreens store in Harris County, Texas, shot two masked teenagers Saturday night, killing one of them after an encounter with the pair as they approached the store, according to news reports.

The guard came around a corner outside the store and ordered the teens to stop, but one of them pulled a gun, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The guard opened fire, striking both teens, who were later identified as 16- and 18-year-old cousins, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales confirmed on social media.

The 16-year-old was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries and later died. The 18-year-old suffered a leg wound and is expected to recover. He also facing aggravated robbery charges, Gonzales said.

The investigation is continuing.

Now do you feel foolish or just stupid??

Violent criminals tend to look for other lines of work when their victims might be armed. I live in the real world, not your fantasy world. What gun control law has ever been demonstrated to have made things better?

I no longer know where to find the article; but years ago Florida passed a conceal carry bill and surprisingly, the car jacking incidents dropped dramatically.

But I guess that was just coincidence. :palm:

Sometimes the gun is not the best weapon for the purpose, even for self defense. Guns do make a general good choice for it though. You are quite right. People kill, not guns. Gun control laws only aid criminals, who don't care about the law.

Maybe domer actually believes that if all law abiding citizens no longer had access to a gun, that all the criminals would just turn theirs in!! :dunno:

The reason they don't work is a simple one. The free market. You can't kill the free market, even if you drive it underground. Every drug dealer knows this. They sell guns, too, where there is a black market for them. All gun control laws do is create black markets. It doesn't stop people from obtaining guns.

Add in that there are numerous videos out there, that show how to make a "zip gun" and sometimes a weapon that can have multiple firings.

Hell; someone can make a mini shotgun out of steel pipe, a 2x4, a nail, and a rubber band.

Connect 4 of them together and you've got one hell of a scattergun or one with multiple shots.

I wonder if he's aware that a very simple grenade can be made out of a tennis ball, a can of black powder, some Elmer's glue, a tube of BB's, and either a fuse or a firecracker??

Anyone want to bet that this can't be made into a weapon??

On top of the FACT that all that separates a semi-auto from a full auto, is usually a cam or a stop block that can be very easily modified on most guns.

About as many as are killed each year in automobile 'accidents'. Yet that doesn't seem to bother you at all. Because they don't involve guns?

Yeah, I’ve seen that stupid fuck argument before about automobiles.

Tell us, dumbfuck, what happens to a society if vehicles are removed? Then, tell us, dumbfuck, what happens to a society if guns disappear.

See, there you go again, reframing the argument to fit what you want it to be. You're moving the goalposts from automobiles to vehicles. And you just need to look at the rest of the world to see what happens when guns supposedly "disappear". If there was no problem with guns before, then there's no change. But if there was a problem, it gets a whole lot worse.

You still don't have any rational arguments, just childish insults. And still no example of a gun control law that has been demonstrated to have made things better.

You brought up the bullshit automobile analogy, shitstain. I didn’t. I merely pointed out the absurdity of that argument

You mean you claimed it was absurd by moving the goalposts from automobiles to all vehicles. Typical of your bullshit attempts at logic and reason. You continue to demonstrate that you haven't a clue.

The opposition to guns is based on life in civilized countries, I suppose. Your ways just seem ludicrous to most people. Sorry.

Then tell us, dumbfuck, what does a modern society look like without “automobiles”?

They still are popular in the illegal drug trade.

Now do you feel foolish or just stupid??

A good friend of mine often open carries. At a gas station one night, a guy approached with the intention to rob him. My friend turned so the would-be robber saw the gun. He turned around so quickly it was like watching a toy spin around. My friend didn't even have to draw his gun.

Maybe domer actually believes that if all law abiding citizens no longer had access to a gun, that all the criminals would just turn theirs in!! :dunno:

Actually, he is not even considering the criminal. He considers them law abiding citizens that will turn in their gun. A law abiding citizen is not a criminal in the first place. Same idiocy, but this is the reasoning behind it.

It's quite possible to make a functional gun out of stuff you can buy on the secure side of any major airport. You can make bombs out of that stuff too. So much for TSA 'security'.

Terrorists know these techniques. Why don't they do it? Because they know that to hijack a plane today means instant death from a mob of 200 passengers. They know a hijacking isn't just a trip to Cuba anymore.

...or simply removed.

Bump stocks are another hilarious ban. You can bump stock any semiautomatic pistol off a fat belly.

Some people use belt loops or other techniques, or simply build their own bumpstocks.

The same thing. People will simply build cars again. People will simply build guns again.
