The most common control freak tactic: Insist that all gun violence is exactly the same, with exactly the same solution more restrictions on guns. There are multiple categories of gun violence, each with its own root causes, and each requiring its own solution. Lumping them all together means that we can't solve anything.

Typical gun freak tactic. Restrict things to the western world, so you don't have to acknowledge the complete failure of gun control in most of the world. We also have some of the highest poverty rates and greatest amount of income and wealth inequality. Your restricting things to "the western world" is a tacit admission that factors other than the availability of guns are more important. None of the rest of the western world had a problem with guns before they had any gun control laws. Looking at the entire world, we see lots of places with very strict gun laws that have far worse problems than we do. Massive fail on your part.

Displaying your ignorance again? Canada is divided into provinces and territories. Several of which tend to have higher homicide rates than most U.S. states. Australia's Northern Territory is another such example. Gun control laws aren't the panacea that you imagine them to be.
