The point, obviously, is that guns aren't the root cause of gun violence. If they were, most gun violence would involve the social groups with the highest rates of gun ownership. In fact, it's virtually the inverse. Most gun violence occurs where you find the least levels of legal gun ownership.
Nope, it's not filtering that you don't do. You are completely incapable of breaking a problem down into solvable pieces. With you, it's one big unbreakable chunk of concrete.

By restricting the comparison to other western cultures, you're admitting that there are factors other than gun control laws that have far more influence. Again, you've got no actual arguments, just juvenile name calling.
There's an even bigger problem with cars. Why aren't you freaking out about that? Because you're obsessed with guns.
Again, and again, over half are suicides. Most of the rest occur in shithole inner-cities, with lots of gang violence. None of your stupid "common sense" gun laws are going to affect either one of those. You're obsessed with guns and refuse to look for solutions other than gun control.
It's no more difficult than it was in the '90s, when our homicide rate was at its highest.
Sorry to ruin your fantasy, but guns are not demonic devices that jump up and start killing people all by themselves, nor do they take over people's brains and force them to kill. They are inanimate objects, just like knives and blunt objects that people use to kill. It's violent behavior by people that's at the root of gun violence. And it's what motivates that behavior that we need to address if we want to reduce the death toll.
