Wow. Very interesting stuff. Knowing that other people think about such things makes me feel less weird.

I'm a big believer in the philosophy express by the Serenity Prayer. It's okay to think about things we can't change, but non-productive to worry about them.

What separates having serenity than praying for serenity? ^^^^^^ your post shows you haven't reached it. as for this thread subject if one averages 20 years between born and reproducing a next generations ancestrally humanity has had 101 chances to get out of the darkages and hasn't yet in 2020.

It is a good wisdom regardless of whether expressed as a prayer or simply good advice. Most of the ten commandments fall into the same category.
