Hear Chris Hedges!

Hedges was actually booted off the NYT for opposing the Iraq War.

So true, and that fact should be raising the hackles of most Americans! But it goes relatively unnoticed. That's really a bad sign that I think you understand but hardly any other Americans will. Or, they choose to remain in denial?

Ed Shultz was forbidden to cover Sanders by MSNBC.

That would be the wishes of the establishment on both sides and it's a big part of Hedges' message. Probably a little too complicated for most people.

RT has done nothing like that. The US calls Hedges a "foreign agent". That's how free speechy american corporate state "journalism" is.

And why doesn't either one major party or the other stand up and challenge that?

Proof that both major parties are establishment and are protecting it. No concern whatsoever for the people.

No kidding.

I know that few are going to watch a video of that length but maybe they will become interested enough after some discussion to clue themselves in to what Hedges is saying?

He understands that the two major parties are the same evil bastards who have hijackked the ordinary people and are working to uphold the very wealthy at the people's expense. The 1% in other words. He's supported the Libertarian party but that shouldn't be held against him. He freely admits that he was voting against the two major parties which are totally corrupt.

And he's zeroed in on Trump's cheap tricks of appealing to the people to blame minorities for their horrible losing lot in life. It's exactly the same tactic that Hitler used to rise to power, and only the minorities are different this time. Will it work for Trump? It will work the same as it worked for Hitler and drive the world away from the US. In fact it's quite obvious that is already happening.

Chris Hedges is only one man who is trying to get the message out to Americans. But as I said, nobody is likely to watch a video that long without first becoming interested in the message. I think perhaps a 10 minute sampling of his ideas could stir some interest here. Then that will lead to a great discussion as the fangs are bared by both sides!

The parties are not the same, but they both have to raise money from the same sources.. The campaign finance system we have, and the Supremes locked in, gives power to corporations and the wealthy. Better start swimming or you will sink like a stone....the times they are achanging.

there are fake left people here

and they cant be believed

they are Putins pawns

You're totally lost in the wilderness without a clue. There are no fake left people here. The real issue is that the left in your country have been de-legitimized by Cold war sentiments, which have been turned into hate Russia and Putin sentiments. Watch the entire Chris Hedges hour and a half video and if you understand enough of it to discuss it, I'll be happy to help you out.

Been odd to watch "the left" become the ones red baiting with the "commie" crap, but the dems went corporate state.

The two parties are the same and you've just verified that. Did you watch Chris Hedges' vid? If not then do so and come back and argue against his points. For two reasons: 1. you could convince some people. 2. You'll be able to prove you know what you're talking about.

But if you already have watched it and want to debate his points, then show me!

The debate: Both major parties represent the very wealthy and the very wealthy has stolen your democracy. Or call it your piece of the pie if that suits you? If you compare the lot of the ordinary people in the world's most progressive and happiest countries, you would be shocked!

Privatized gains versus socialized losses for the Wall Street bankster class
Internalized profit versus externalized risk and expense for the "job creator" class
Socialism for the aristocracy versus laissez-faire capitalism for the masses

Nice job of furnishing the proof!

She's likely not going to understand because she won't want to understand. But it's always worth a try, even if you're talking to Archie and Edith Bunker.

What Hedges is talking about has been a long time plan. The wealthy have been buying up all media for generations. They bought newspapers first and then moved on. Corporate/wealthy own newspapers, TV station, radio, magazines and movie studios. They own the outlets and own tand create he content. https://www.cjr.org/resources/?c=comcast That is why I laugh when rightys talk about a left press. Those days are long gone.
