Agreed. It's not a winning path forward for them. They are stuck in a cycle of failure, blaming the wrong people so nothing gets fixed. Sad.

Such negative conditions are, IMO, abnormal and detrimental to both the individual and society. If advances in mental health were given as much focus as cancer or going back to the Moon, I think a lot of such people could be helped or the conditions prevented.
