He really is. It’s hard to look at the past six years, knowing how much Cheney has had to do with this war and all of the death and suffering that ensued, and be happy that he’s alive. You know, we all now know how our returning soldiers have been treated. Yet Cheney has survived 5 heart-attacks, and now a blood-clot. Guess what? He didn’t survive all that because he was getting the kind of medical care that our soldiers have apparently been getting. No, Mr. “5 deferments, I had other priorities” has gotten nothing but the best. And whatever problems we have with our health industry in this country, and for most of us, there are plenty of problems; when you can afford the best medical care in America, you are getting the best medical care on this planet.

And you know, it just sends me sideways. I can’t help it.

WASHINGTON — At least three newspapers have pulled conservative commentator Ann Coulter's syndicated column from their editorial pages after her comments last week calling Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards a "faggot."

Newspapers in Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Michigan pulled the column after criticism from readers. In addition, reports say at least three companies, Verizon, Sallie Mae and NetBank, have dropped their advertising from Coulter's Web site
