Homosexuality is not a sin

sure, thats kinda why the interior of the planet is molten. but pressure requires containment.

something indicated an earthquake killing S&G, lava not unheard of in earthquakes.

It's an interesting history and archeological discussions to be sure. The Jewish stories indicate different reason for the destruction.

Ancient stories are clues, but not always fact. Stories of Troy famously led to it being discovered although Homer’s version couldn’t be confirmed.

There are a couple of reasonable theories about the origins of the story of Atlantis; specifically an island nation blown apart by a volcano.

Plato told the story Atlantis around 360 B.C. The founders of Atlantis, he said, were half god and half human. They created a utopian civilization and became a great naval power. Their home was made up of concentric islands separated by wide moats and linked by a canal that penetrated to the center. The lush islands contained gold, silver, and other precious metals and supported an abundance of rare, exotic wildlife. There was a great capital city on the central island.

What's sad is that we'll probably never know.

For us, yes, but for mankind, maybe. It would take time-traveling drones or space satellites to watch what happened.

Legends grow, rumors spread and stories grow greater with each retelling. The story of Sodom, Gomorrah and other ancient cities destroyed by nature were told around campfires for 300-500 years before Moses wrote them down.

In Syria, southwest of Damascus, large basaltic flows date to within a millennium of the presumed age of the biblical destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. The flows originated from volcanoes along the Dead Sea transform fault system. Buried under one flow are two settlements with dwellings and numerous animal bones. Large gravesites near the lava are also consistent with a catastrophe. These findings and the paucity of archaeological evidence tying humans to the Dead Sea area at this time make a Syrian location for Sodom and Gomorrah more likely. Scholars, however, now think the story is an amalgamation of real places and occurrences rather than a single historical event.

Naturally.

Did you know that the Jewish stories contain different version of the reason for the destruction of Sodom?

The gospels were written by men and edited by leaders of the countries and the church elders. The version is whatever the powerful said it was at that time.

There's a major difference between being banned from something or forced to do something versus having freedom of choice....even if it's experimental.

You have freedom of choice...but that freedom does not make one immune from criticism or whatever consequences result from that choice.

Does it matter? We have a First Amendment and: The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.

Equal protection of the laws matters.

It's certainly not a sin, but is it really "normal?"

Other kinds of birth defects occur, but we don't call them normal.

I am opposed to discriminating against homosexuals, but I'm also opposed to discriminating against handicapped people as well.

and "normal" is not necessarily bad. Albert Einstein, Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods aren't "normal" either.

It is your interpretation.
No, it is what it says.

Leviticus is for Jews.
Leviticus is for everyone (in one way or another).

The laws are health codes.
In part, but the laws go well beyond being just health codes.

The NT is talking about Roman pagan worship.
In part, but the NT goes well beyond that.

Jesus never said anything about homosexuality.
Yes, he did, actually. Have you ever read through Matthew? How about 2nd Timothy?

Please study the Bible more.
You should take your own advice.

Luckily there's a new covenant in jesus christ.

jesus rejected theocracy explicitly. His kingdom is not of this world.
