House may try to pass Senate health-care bill without voting on it

The "assume it's passed" idea is just great, another "never before" for a bill that nobody wants. The reality is they don't have the votes to pass the Senate Bill so they are going to try to use this trick and hope that nobody notices.

"never before"?

The republicans never used it to "pass" legislation that covered over 1/6th of the economy and was opposed by over 55% of their constituency. And it wasn't reconciliation that I was talking about there. Do you ever read the stories posted?

Over 55%?

And the Democrats never used it to pass a bill that covered Perscriptions? Actually everytime Reconsilation is used, its never before been used to pass legislation that is like what it is passing!

It's foolish to root for something you know is harmful just because you think it means they'll later "pass" legalized MJ.

BTW - MJ isn't even on their radar. Next, whether this passes or not, will be illegal immigration. (IMO because they believe that the only way possible they might get a second term is with the votes of those currently illegally in the nation.)

That is such bullshit, not the marijuana part, the they belive they will never get reelected without... . A comment like that is really below the intelegence you have previously displayed.

On one hand you call the President Arrogant, then on the other hand you say he belives the only way he belives he can get a second term is with votes of those currently illegally in the nation!

LOL/irony

legalizing is the second most important issue in the country next to the corporate wars in the middle east. Budda
Which doesn't change the reality of what I am saying.

1. I agree that legalization is a "good".
2. You won't get the government to even look in that direction.
3. Next, regardless of whether this bill passes or not, will be illegal immigrants.

That is all.

bULLSHIT Buddist poser

The states and the people will make legalization happen, Obama will sit back and take credit after the fight is over as if he did it. what he's going to is get out of the way. The demtards are moving to cap and scheme next, they don't have the balls to take on the boarder.

Buddist poser

you do realize that by casting aside the actual democratic process where people are heard and our will is done, that you are opening up the floodgates to other kinds of tyranny and oppression?

The health care bill will end the tyranny and oppression that has persisted for far too long. Whether it's people who can't afford proper health care or people going bankrupt obtaining it, it's time to put an end to it.

There is no other country that reverted to the "pay or suffer" system. There is no precedent, anywhere in the world, to show a government medical plan is anything other than beneficial for the citizens.

Leaders have to lead.

Nobody has to wait a decade, that's just B.S. trying to "scare" you into something stupid rather than allowing you to use the brain you were gifted with.

The Politics of "fear" and emotional pleas.

It's been 45 years since Medicare, the start of a universal or government plan. I think the fear is well placed.

REALLY?????? so this healthcare bill will end the tyranny and oppression of limiting my gun rights? my private property rights? my personal privacy rights?

There is no other country that reverted to the "pay or suffer" system. There is no precedent, anywhere in the world, to show a government medical plan is anything other than beneficial for the citizens.
and yet, we still have wealthy world leaders coming to this country for surgeries they'd have to wait for in their own countries.

Leaders have to lead.
way to lead.....:good4u:

fear of what? that this new government beaucrapacy will be as screwed up as medicare? why are you opposed to fixing medicare and simply expanding medicare coverage instead of creating this new bohemoth that i guarantee will have the same, if not worse, issues as medicare....

there is no public option in the bill apple

Eh, we're talking health care here. It will be the start of putting an end to the tyranny and oppression of a "pay or suffer" system.

Of course. Just like we have wealthy people staying in 5-star hotels instead of 2-star hotels. That doesn't mean the 2-star hotel doesn't have a bed or won't keep the rain off your head.

That's right. There isn't a public option and you think expanding medicare would pass?

Look at the fighting going on. A health care plan has been talked about since Medicare. Well, actually long before that. This is all that can get passed. Far from perfect but a start. Once the people see the benefits, few as they may be, they'll understand the benefits of more coverage just as every other country has witnessed. Every other country with a universal plan. No exceptions.

I can't for the life of me understand people being against it. There is not one country they can point to and say, "See, it never worked there so the country changed back to a "pay or suffer" system." There's not one exception.

apple....i support the public option. in that, i don't have a problem with having insurance or some form of medical coverage for americans. there is no need for this obamacare. why? because look at medicare. it is a drain, obama wants to take 500 BILLION away from medicare to fund this "new" program. he claims his "fraud police" will save money...all talk apple.

there is no need for a new program, fix the one that exists, and extend it. obama needs to put his ego aside and think of americans first. he is not doing so, by pushing this new bill. even watermark agrees that we should clean up m/c and expand it and make that our insurance. there is no need for a new bill. obama is seriously fucking the country, excuse my french, but it is true. we do not need ANOTHER government bureaucracy

what tyranny and oppression? i've always had a choice of buying insurance or not.

so 'rank hath its privileges'. you know what we call that, right?
