That's right. There isn't a public option and you think expanding medicare would pass?
Look at the fighting going on. A health care plan has been talked about since Medicare. Well, actually long before that. This is all that can get passed. Far from perfect but a start. Once the people see the benefits, few as they may be, they'll understand the benefits of more coverage just as every other country has witnessed. Every other country with a universal plan. No exceptions.
I can't for the life of me understand people being against it. There is not one country they can point to and say, "See, it never worked there so the country changed back to a "pay or suffer" system." There's not one exception.
