I suspect that most of the bluster here is just hot air, no matter which side it is from. LW groups are far less of a threat these days than RW groups. Maybe back in the 60s and 70s, the LWer extremists were very violent -- SDS, the Weathermen, etc. Even the modern Black Panthers are more akin to puddy-cats than to the Oathkeepers of today.

To hear the Reichtards tell it though, BLM is just as violent and extreme as those groups. They are not. The RW merely uses them as an example when trying to distract from the fact that their side has bombed abortion clinics, government buildings, killed federal and local law enforcement, and tried to install a dictator by storming our Capitol in order to prevent the rightful POTUS from taking office. They are *still* crying about Waco and Ruby Ridge decades later.
