I doubt Hillary wrote "change you can Xerox"

"Change you can Xerox"...

Whether or not she wrote it, it is funny.

Again you expose your weird sense of humor .. and wonder why no one gets it.

Not only did she not write the line, not only was it a low point and unwise for her to use it, it also wasn't the least bit funny.

It didn't draw a single laugh .. not even from her.

Hillary Clinton Feb. 20, 2008: “You know, whatever happens, we're going to be fine. You know, we have strong support from our families and our friends. I just hope that we'll be able to say the same thing about the American people. And that's what this election should be about.”

John Edwards, Dec. 13, 2007: “What's not at stake are any of us. All of us are going to be just fine no matter what happens in this election. But what's at stake is whether America is going to be fine.”

She should have never opened this door.

:clink:

One of her campaign managers already admitted that she "plagiarizes," per their definition. But it's okay, because she's not running a campaign solely based on words. She's a woman of action & solutions, who has 35 years of experience under her belt & is ready to go from day 1.

She can copy all she wants...

I think this is why she will lose, and I think this is why McCain will also lose to Obama in the general.

Bill Clinton, 1992:
"The hits that I took in this election are nothing compared to the hits the people of this state and this country have been taking for a long time."

Hillary Clinton, last night:
"You know, the hits I’ve taken in life are nothing compared to what goes on every single day in the lives of people across our country."

She opened this door out of desperation.

But it did. This is a lame ad hominem attack on me for no reason other than you want to protect him so much that you can't see.

I said it was funny, not effective.

"ad hominem" ???

Ron Paul is yesterdays news now .. you can put away the inane references to the days of yore.

I'm saying the line wasn't funny and there were far more groans than there were laughs .. of which I didn't hear any.

It was childish and stupid .. and decidely unfunny.

Yes, but then you spent more time in the post trying to defend against it and inform me how ineffective it will be. The reality is I said nothing about that at all and don't think it will be effective, just that it was funny.

The line was funny. Even if you don't think so. When you think something is funny, usually I agree, often you disagree with me when I think something is funny. It seems that my humor bone is simply wider-ranging than yours.

Of course, I didn't think it was the greatest joke of the century, but it was funny enough to net a smile from me.

I have to agree with BAC, the line wasn't funny. But if Ron Paul said it, I'd be laughing... I take that back. I would pat him on the back though to tell him 'nice try' at acting like a politician instead of someone concerned about policies.

Do you laugh at dead babies and suicide bombers?

I agree .. you and I don't share the same perspectives of humor.

Maybe it's generational.

I just don't get why trying to convince me that something I got a smile from wasn't funny is so important to some people.

Most of the "not funny" argument seems to come in the form of defense and "they do it to" attacks.

Actually, I think Superfreak got a copyright on "they do it too"; I'm not sure anyone else can use it at this point without risking a lawsuit...
