They said Indians owed their allegiance to another sovereign power. Even today where an Indian is born has no Bering on his membership of his tribe. So it did not make any difference where a member of the Winnebago tribe was born he was still a member of the Winnebago tribe. The same is true for Apaches Cherokees etc.They did not say that indians born off the reservation are not citizens, they did not rule on that issue.

His parents were legal permanent residents and as such were under jurisdiction of the US . The Wong Ark decision even pointed out his parents permanent domicile as the reason for his citizenship. Illegal aliens are subject to immediate removal by deportation so they don't have permanent domicile..How do you justify Kim Wong?
