Ezra Taft Benson was an American farmer, religious nut job, and Secretary of Agriculture, and there is precisely zero percent chance he was fluent in the Russian language.

Aka, he never actually heard Khrushchev say these words.

We are supposed to accept he heard about it second hand from the interpreters or other sources, but no one and no documentation was ever found by Snopes to authenticate his claim.

The point is, you see, that normal capitalism inevitably gives some minor benefits to those it exploits. Until recently American capitalism has been rich enough to get the mugs working on the promite they'll get rich too. It was always a fantasy, obviously.

but you're not talking about capitalism......what you're talking about is crony capitalism. Or an even better couple terms would be fascism and socialism. that's where you're using orwellian speak trying to intimate that what we have now is the capitalism envisioned by the founders, when what we really have is exactly the opposite of what the founders intended

Classical capitalism is a silly intellectual fantasy that could never work and never has. You can steal a living from the people who do the work for only so long, even if you control the means of propaganda, unless you pretend to give them something. Racist and other division will only work for a while, and the real alternative is constant war.
